Job Description


RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategy

  • Coordinate and manage a portfolio of corporate clients and build/institutionalize effective long-term relationships with key accounts
  • Originate pipeline solutions and transactions within the International Corporates (\xe2\x80\x9cIC\xe2\x80\x9d), Global Subsidiaries (\xe2\x80\x9cGS\xe2\x80\x9d), and Middle Market (\xe2\x80\x9cMM\xe2\x80\x9d) segments
  • Strengthen SCB\xe2\x80\x99s market standing and offerings, while derivatizing the corporate sales business through offering cross-asset solutioning for both assets and liabilities; across FX, rates, commodities, and synthetic funding
  • Actively monitor inter-segment opportunities and growth, focusing on automation as a key productivity lever
  • Drive the digitization agenda and optimisation of portfolio tail management
Business
  • Work as part of the GS team in communicating and implementing the collective corporate sales strategy within the various network corridors, working on driving initiatives with the respective network champions in the region with a focus on growing the East/Asean/West corridors
  • Work as part of Global Execution Services (\xe2\x80\x9cGES\xe2\x80\x9d) sales to ensure the GES strategy/agenda is championed
Processes
  • Cultivate and maintain a personal working relationship with key decision makers, through systematic engagement and dialogue, marketing visits, etc. to ensure a first/last look relationship is achieved and maintained
  • Monitor the credit risk exposure of each customer and ensure adequacy of limits prior to transacting and be proactive in alerting RM of needs for higher limits.
  • Liaise with CCIB RMs concerning joint account profiling, calling and overall management of existing as well as target relationships.
  • Provide feedback on the market and the business to the traders and management through regular business reports and meetings
  • Ensure that appropriate AML procedures and internal controls that interpret the Group Policy and Standards and the local law and regulations of Money Laundering Prevention are documented, implemented, maintained and monitored.
Risk Management
  • Ensure that risk assurance process is in place across FM business to provide evidence of pro-active risk management of the Risk Type and compliance with policy
  • Ensure that any risk issue is raised to the relevant committee or forum
  • Ensure that all compliance and local regulatory requirements are met as relates to FM.
Governance
  • Responsible for assessing the effectiveness of the Group\xe2\x80\x99s arrangements to deliver effective governance, oversight and controls in the business and, if necessary, oversee changes in these areas;
  • Awareness and understanding of the regulatory framework, in which the Group operates, and the regulatory requirements and expectations relevant to the role.
  • Anti-Money Laundering Prevention:
  • Ensure the development, implementation, maintenance and monitoring of procedures and controls are in compliance with the requirements of Group Policy and Standards, local laws and regulations.
  • Ensure that appropriate internal controls are in place and operating effectively.
  • Ensure all Unit staff is adequately trained.
  • To fully comply with group Policy and Standard on Money Laundering Prevention or local regulatory requirements for the prevention of Money Laundering.
Regulatory & Business Conduct
  • Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group\xe2\x80\x99s Values and Code of Conduct.

Key Stakeholders
Internal
  • Relationship Managers in CCIB for credit analysis and setting up of limits.
  • Corporate dealers for facilitating the distribution process.
  • Traders for market information and pricing.
  • Distribution counterparts in other regional centres for networking and information.
  • Treasury back office for processing and risk control.
External
  • Corporate clients & institutions and government investment institutions (local & foreign).
  • Major FM players for competitive benchmarking.
  • Bank Negara Malaysia.
  • Securities Commission.
Other Responsibilities
  • The profitability of FM, Malaysia and hence, the Bank through spreads earned from the transactions of all asset classes under FM.
  • The enhancement of the bank\xe2\x80\x99s image and profile in the market by networking and by acting professionally always.
  • The transfer of the product and technical knowledge through training of FM Sales staff.
  • The minimizing of the use of the Bank\xe2\x80\x99s balance sheet and capital by facilitating the sale of assets underwritten by the Bank.
