The Opportunity:
As the Associate Manager, Consumer Products (Licensing), you will expand consumer products across both Softline, hardline, publishing and promotions categories for all core brands in Southeast Asia, with effective agent management to deliver the company's direction.
You'll also set brand direction for the region across key categories and marketing highlights, secure and partner with best-in-class licenses for all categories and enhance brand profile in the market through promotional activities.
What Your Impact Will Be:
1. Strategic Planning & Business Development
Secure and appointing licensees, upon review of licensees' business model, distribution channels and strength in Southeast Asia
Conduct frequent business reviews with the licensees to ensure that licensees and the company are focused on growth
Conduct market visits with the licensees to ensure that products rolled out into the market are competitive and innovative in SEA
Conduct frequent business reviews with the retailers to provide brand updates and align goals and performance.
Work closely with counterparts to ensure that the best products are placed in the retail stores
Plan for marketing and promotional activities to enhance the brand positioning in SEA
Manage agency by working closely together with the agent to deliver AOP target and grow the market.
Be creative and innovative and think out of the box to explore new business ideas and to solve problems.
Identifies new opportunities and strategies to expand the brand and product portfolio.
Serve as the key liaison between the licensee, internal teams, and stakeholders - responsible for managing deal closures, overseeing project execution, and ensuring timely submission of all required monthly reports.
2. Stakeholder Management
Provide licensees with clear brand guidelines (with the support of Creative) to execute the brand in SEA
Monitor licensees' performance in SEA
Manage licenses' contracts and payments
Manage licensee's royalty report submission with the support of licensing coordinator
3. Financial Management
Provide sales forecast during planning, and ensure that financial plans are achieved towards the end of the year
Provide support to licensees on how to ensure that sales forecast is met
What We're Looking For:
Degree in business or marketing or other equivalent background
Licensing experience / exposure an advantage
Good contacts with supplier/vendors/retailers in the marketplace
Competency and understanding of business planning
Excellent inter-personal and communications skills
Excellent English communication skills,
Knowledge of local markets with an understanding of the retail marketplace and new trends
Confident in Microsoft Word, Excel & PowerPoint
Highly motivated, proactive, determined, dedicated, enthusiastic
Results driven and a creative problem solver
Solid "can do" attitude with positive outlook - entrepreneurial
Excellent organizational and project management skills with ability to multitask and meet deadlines
Able to build strong working relationships at all levels.
A good team player who also can work independently and support the team.
Good interpersonal skills with high level of professionalism. This should include strong communication skills, articulate, flexibility, patience, with an honest and ethical approach, attention to detail.
