The Opportunity A Level D academic is expected to make a significant contribution to all activities of the organisational unit or interdisciplinary area and play a significant role within their profession or discipline. Academics at this level may be appointed in recognition of distinction in their disciplinary area. This position will be based at Main Campus, Bandar Sunway. As an Associate Professor of Medical Education and Assessment at Jeffrey Cheah School of Medicine and Health Sciences, the incumbent will be an integral part of our dynamic team, dedicated to advancing assessment, medical education and training. The incumbent will play a pivotal role in preparing the next generation of healthcare professionals, shaping the curriculum, and contributing to research and innovation in medical education and assessment. Reporting Line: The position reports to Professor and Head of School Key Responsibilities Contribute to curriculum development, innovation, enhancement and quality assurance in the undergraduate and postgraduate curriculum Develop and deliver innovative and excellent teaching, learning and assessment experiences for undergraduate and postgraduate students Conduct world class research, maintaining an active record of high quality publication, grants, and PhD student supervision Contribute to the development and implementation of a research strategy for Jeffrey Cheah School of Medicine and Health Sciences consistent with the research priorities of Monash University Malaysia and Monash University Contribute to the development of strong collaborations with other universities and with government, industry and/or civil society to drive research impact and educational excellence Contribute to the management of education, research and/or administration in the School, including coaching, mentorship, leadership and effective performance management Key Selection Criteria A doctoral qualification (PhD) or equivalent qualification A strong record of successful and innovative curriculum development An outstanding record of teaching which demonstrates a commitment to educational innovation An excellent research record, demonstrated by world class publications, grants and PhD supervision A strong record in research leadership including generating research income, leading major research projects and, where relevant, building research teams Ability to promote the discipline internally within the university as well as externally, both nationally and internationally Demonstrated skills and experience in collaboration and leadership Experience in medical education and assessment is an added advantage Your application Your application must address the selection criteria.
