My client is looking for a Associate Technical Director to pioneer a brand new team in Kuala Lumpur!
Assisting artists by optimizing studio pipelines, workflows, and tools.
Creating tools to streamline procedures, such as batching and automation.
Identifying and resolving inefficiencies and issues within current processes.
Developing and disseminating techniques to enable artists to achieve top-notch quality and maximum productivity.
Producing documentation for artists detailing art production requirements, including integration into games, utilization of third-party/in-house tools, and critiques of art assets.
Reviewing assets to ensure technical soundness before incorporating them into the game.
Addressing technical challenges associated with maintaining organized file structures and pipelines for both in-house and third-party software.
Maintaining open communication with artists and our teams.

At least 5 years of experience working as a Technical Artist (TA).
A minimum of 3 completed products shipped.
Understanding of Game Production Pipeline and Workflows.
Familiarity with Game Development Engines like Unreal 4 and Unity 3D.
Knowledge of rendering pipelines, 3D mathematics, and performance profiling.
Understanding of Python scripting or Visual scripting (or any other programming language).
Proficiency with Digital Content Creation (DCC) Tools such as Maya, Max, Zbrush, Substance Designer, and Painter. Familiarity with the latest asset creation techniques, including Modeling, Texturing, Animation, and Rigging.
