Responsibilities:
JOB SUMMARY
The Assistant Manager assists the top management to oversee day-to-day operations of multiple engagements. He/She will be involved with management of legal, regulatory, and accounting issues that arise during audit engagements. He is responsible for supervision and management of services to clients, including preparation of audit strategy and business plans, setting budgets, scheduling audits, selecting staff and assigning workloads, and financial reporting.
\xc2\xb7 Involved in planning, supervising, coordinating, performing and assigning complex, corporate-wide compliance audits in Trading, Construction, Non-profit Organisation, Manufacturing, Plantation and various industries;
\xc2\xb7 Possess solid understanding of accounting and auditing principles (e.g MPERS/MFRS and ISA), quality control standards and technology implementation procedures.
\xc2\xb7 Performs special projects or audits not covered by the Compliance audit as necessary or as directed by manager or partners. These include, but are not limited to, due diligence reviews; fraud and suspicious activity research; consulting activities over a broad range of topics corporate-wide; various complex research and analysis projects corporate-wide;
\xc2\xb7 Identify and communicate audit issues, technical matters and improvement opportunities with managers and partners to resolve client issues discovered during the audit process;
\xc2\xb7 Assists Manager in the completion and updating of the Compliance Risk Assessment, ensuring the scope and objective of Compliance audits incorporate recent regulatory changes and business line policies and procedures align with regulatory guidance;
\xc2\xb7 Guide senior on the decision making process on all but the most unusual audit and accounting matters and also reviewing the audit works;
\xc2\xb7 Develop and maintain an excellent working relationship with all levels of client staff to increase customer satisfaction and to strengthen client relationships;
\xc2\xb7 Pledge to provide exceptional service to every client by providing individual attention, responsiveness and commitment to understanding their goals and needs;
\xc2\xb7 Maintain and comply with the highest degree of professional standards, client confidentiality and personal conduct;
\xc2\xb7 Schedule, delegate, and review the work of one or more staff members, support on-the-job training, and evaluate their performance.
Requirements:
\xc2\xb7 Have a university degree in Accounting or Finance, or those with a full or partial professional qualification (MICPA, ACCA, ICAEW, ICA, ICAA, CPA(A) or CIMA);
\xc2\xb7 Minimum 4 years of working experiences in auditing with at 2 years\' experience in the similar position;
\xc2\xb7 Computer literate with working knowledge of MS Office applications;
\xc2\xb7 Knowledge in ProSystem fx Engagement is an advantage;
\xc2\xb7 Self-motivated, positive attitude;
\xc2\xb7 Attention to detail with a commitment to high quality and accuracy;
\xc2\xb7 Strong drive to excel professionally, and to guide and motivate others;
\xc2\xb7 Team players who are also able to work well independently and under a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment;
