What we are looking for.

This role is a product leader on the Auto team, which sits at the intersection of the product org and key revenue generation. The team plays an integral role in driving digital innovation across business and product strategy for used cars, motorcycles, car accessories. As such, we seek someone who can fluidly move across innovation (creativity), product features (micro view) and product vision/strategy (macro view), applying strong product principles and strategic frameworks to a used marketplace.

Drawing out innovative ideas and inspiring new ways of doing things, demonstrate transparency in the way of facts and data validation, and discipline in clearly articulated, business-driven, outcome-oriented decision-making. We seek someone forward-thinking and future-oriented, but also sensible in how to get there and formulate the plan.

A successful candidate will not be afraid to push the boundaries of what's possible in Mudah.my today. They'll have the creativity to look at problems in new ways, the discipline to use rigorous experiments and testing frameworks to find out what works, a balance of creativity and analytic skills, and boldness to try new things.

It is a requirement that candidates have strong portfolio-level product management experience, preferably operating at scale or bringing new products to scale. Nice to haves include applicable experiences within the automotive industry.

This role will be reporting to the Head of Auto and Revenue.

What you will do:

  • Set a strategic vision for the Auto category and product roadmap, including rolling out new types of user experience across all platforms.
  • Collaborate closely with a cross functional team including the tech org to drive execution of the Auto roadmap by applying appropriate product design framework and methodology.
  • Roll out large-scale go-to-market efforts by leveraging on data analytics to drive product, UI/UX design, engineering, and marketing requirements.
  • Inspire and motivate those around you and create an efficient teamwork environment.
  • Grow and mentor team members.
  • Champion the initiative to gather and synthesize customer's voice and challenges.
  • Collaborate with the Sales and Revenue team in growing Auto revenue thru revenue product roadmap.
  • Designing and tracking of metrics of key product rollout, competitor intelligence and campaign effectiveness.
Qualifications

What we are looking for:
  • 5+ years' experience in digital consumer product management with a proven track record of successfully launching large scale products or platforms (e-commerce or marketplace experience is preferred but not required).
  • A solid strategic and critical thinker with the ability to deal with ambiguity, change and handle risk and uncertainty.
  • An entrepreneurial product person excited about new technologies and products as a service.
  • A structured and principled thinker who applies relevant frameworks and scalable solutions.
  • Metrics driven and analytical. Uses data and facts to formulate hypotheses and assumptions.
  • Superb ability to prioritize and communicate across different levels of the organization - influence, managing, motivating, and developing teams even without formal authority.
  • A proven leader who can inspire, motivate, and collaborate with engineers, designers, and marketing.
  • Exceptionally clear oral and written communication who can deliver the relevant content.
  • Basic data analytics to derive root cause and projections.
  • Go-getter with a bias for action and get-things-done person - whether it be through influencing others, creating levers, or doing it yourself.
  • In-depth knowledge of the auto industry and its trends. (Preferred but not required).
