Position Summary

Principal Responsibilities

1. Work with Project Manager/Customer on design of mechanical system or automated machinery to improve manufacturing process
2. Coordinate with Manufacturing/Process Engineering to improve assembly process/system ensuring design intent and cost-effective solution meeting production request.
3. Establish technical manual, drawings models, training documentation, preventive maintenance plans and troubleshooting guides for newly establish automated equipment/processes
4. Manage individual project budget and schedules.
5. Travel to supplier sites to do FAT and machine IQ buyoff as well report progress on timely manner.
6. Ability to adapt design change/improvise based on customer feedback and provide suggestion for improvement.
7. Ability to self-direct on projects task and to manage/drive a project team to achieve target
8. Ability to read technical drawings and well verse on CAD knowledge
9. Able to draft PEA to fund for the automation project through CAPEX funding processes
10. Work closely with Supplier to meet project timeline and flag of risk associated with cost, resources and timeline. Reduce risk with clear mitigation plans.

Education / Experience Requirements

Qualification:
Bsc or B.Eng in Mechanical, Electrical & Electronic, Automation or related field or equivalent

Experience :
1. Minimum 5 years of experience in the design of automated equipment with project management background
2. Knowledge in 3D CAD Software preferably on Solidworks platform.
3. Experience in PLC programing (Mitsubishi & Siemens PLC programing is an added advantages). Sound knowledge in HMI programing.
4. Ability to coordinate with suppliers and multitasking to ensure meeting project milestones
5. Mechanically inclined, sound knowledge in stack-up tolerance, GD & T, strong problem-solving skills, hands-on individual
6. Excellent oral and written communication skills
7. Familiar with 6-Axis Robot programing (add advantages)
