We are on the lookout for a new Automation Specialist to lead our Process Automation function in the Business Excellence team. As a team, Business Excellence is focused on solving problems, continuously improving business operations and providing value to the business and customers. This function sits under Operations, but is uniquely positioned to work cross-functionally with different teams and departments such as Engineering (Software/ Tech), Finance, Commercial, Marketing and HR.

The ideal candidate should possess a Continuous Improvement and business-oriented mindset with a strong grasp of automation skills and solutions across the organization. This person must have great ownership qualities to independently manage multiple shifting priorities and drive the completion of projects. We require a fast learner, a team player and an excellent communicator. Responsibilities:

• Identify gaps, recommend solutions and implement new workflows to streamline processes and reduce manual work in different teams and departments
• Develop tools for internal employees to automate manual tasks and processes including (but not limited to) data consolidation, reports creation, data extraction, merging and transfer
• Carry out recurring software development tasks such as roadmap planning, requirements gathering and user testing/ demos
• Lead or support improvement projects by proposing, testing and executing automation solutions

• Potentially build and lead a small (but scalable) team of automation developers
• Explore and apply new types of automation in the company such as AI (machine learning, natural language processing, etc) or low-code/ no-code automation

Basic Skills & Qualifications:

• At least 2-3 years of working experience in automation-related roles or in roles with regular exposure to automation, data analytics, process improvements
• A completed degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Technology, Engineering, Analytics or other related fields
• Fluency in at least 1 of these programming languages: Python (pandas, NumPy), Excel VBA or JavaScript
• Excellent stakeholder management and teamwork skills
• Able to communicate with high clarity and build relationships easily
• Strong ownership and independence skills
• Comfortable working with with data manipulation

Preferred Skills & Qualifications:

• Experience working on eCommerce platforms and solutions
• Experience or certification in Agile development or practices
• Experience working with cloud services (AWS, GCP, Azure, etc)
• Experience with data architecture and APIs/ REST APIs
• Experience working with RPA
• Strong root cause analysis mindset
• Entrepreneurial spirit, strong curiosity mindset and continuous learning attitude
• User experience skills or familiarity with usability heuristics
