We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of AVP, Client Services Team.
The Client Services team sits in the first line of defense and provides support and services to PB business and clients along the account life cycle from account opening to account closure. Our goal is to ensure the client information and respective data are maintained timely and correctly in systems.
The AVP role in Client Services team will manage the team and proactively engage with CLM team and PB RM/CSE team to ensure the client accounts are opened, updated and/or closed as per instructions within SLA.
The job holder should be precise, detailed oriented and be able to establish a strong working relationship with CLM team and the front office Relationship Manager team.
What you\xe2\x80\x99ll do:
\xc2\xb7 Planning and prioritization of day-to-day services across the team to provide client services support to GPB Asia Private Banking (HK and SG)
\xc2\xb7 Ensure the team delivers in line with internal procedure/SLA and comply with standards and policy
\xc2\xb7 Supporting the implementation of change programmes that impact the direct team or process
\xc2\xb7 Maintaining Operating Procedures in accordance with the Business Service\xe2\x80\x99s Operating Model and local requirements
\xc2\xb7 Lead and manage the annual processes (e.g. CRS/FATCA attestation, W-Form renewal, TIN collection, etc) completed on time with high quality standard
\xc2\xb7 Handle business partners\xe2\x80\x99 inquiries promptly within reasonable time
\xc2\xb7 Report exception and irregularities promptly for management awareness
\xc2\xb7 Prepare and provide training to staff in the team
\xc2\xb7 Produce Management Information Reports and Key Performance Indicators as required
\xc2\xb7 Maintain effective communication with stakeholders and senior management
\xc2\xb7 Driving sustainable growth. Identifies and acts on opportunities to improve efficiency in the workflow
\xc2\xb7 Participate in business initiatives/projects as team representative to provide user requirements, conduct user acceptance test and provide sign-off for implementation
Requirements
What you will need to succeed in the role:
\xc2\xb7 Strong working knowledge of AML, regulatory compliance and controls within the banking and financial services industry.
\xc2\xb7 Understands the connection between the financial services industry, the regulatory environment and their business function, and assists in passing on their practical knowledge to their colleagues
\xc2\xb7 Minimum of a bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in business/ finance or relevant work experience
\xc2\xb7 Proven customer service, account opening/closure and/or CRS and FATCA experience is preferential
\xc2\xb7 Strong teamwork initiative and good communication skills
\xc2\xb7 Ability to work with a wide range of stakeholders, including senior executives
\xc2\xb7 Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Internet Explorer. Advanced Excel skills is an advantage
\xc2\xb7 Strong written and communication skills in English
\xc2\xb7 Self-motivated, strong teamwork initiative and able to work independently
\xc2\xb7 Able to read and write Chinese is welcomed
What additional skills will be good to have?
\xc2\xb7 Have a knowledge of all HSBC policies and procedures (CDD, AML and Sanctions)
\xc2\xb7 Take personal accountability to keep their procedural knowledge up to date
\xc2\xb7 Adhering strictly to compliance and operational risk controls in accordance with HSBC and regulatory standards, policies and practices; escalating control weaknesses.
\xc2\xb7 Helps their colleagues to consider the importance of risk and compliance policies and procedures and how to follow them properly.
