About the Department


The Strategic Communications and Customer Advocacy function works closely with all functions across the Group to protect and to promote the reputation of UOB. Through our thought leadership, stakeholder and community engagement programmes, we ensure that UOB\xe2\x80\x99s presence, relevance, insights and understanding are seen and felt by our colleagues and customers, wherever they are. We also strive to turn our customers into advocates through our consistent and considered approach in delivering reliable and distinctive customer service.

Job Responsibilities


  • Responsible for planning, executing and monitoring all activities across the Bank\xe2\x80\x99s social media channels including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube and any additional channels that may be deemed relevant.
  • Work closely with the social media agency to develop monthly social media content and campaigns aligned to the Bank\xe2\x80\x99s strategic priorities, tone of voice and corporate identity.
  • Collaborate with External and Internal Communications and Brand teams for integrated communication initiatives that help increase the Bank\xe2\x80\x99s brand presence and SOV.
  • Support business units in their marketing campaigns and paid advertising initiatives by providing social media advice and reviewing creatives assets.
  • Manage and track social media campaigns that build followers, reach and engagement.
  • Assist Social Media Lead in managing and tracking the annual allocated Social Media budget to ensure efficient and effective use to meet annual KPIs.
  • Support in managing the Bank\xe2\x80\x99s online presence and protecting the Bank\xe2\x80\x99s reputation through social media listening and monitoring.
  • Execute and manage paid advertising campaigns on social media to achieve targets while managing cost within the allocated budget.


Job Requirements


  • At least 4 years of experience in the field of social media, digital marketing, branding, marketing, advertising and/or communications. Knowledge and experience in banking industry will be an added advantage.
  • Active and well-rounded personal presence on social media, with an excellent understanding of key social media networks in Asia and their best practices.
  • Proficient in using social media tools including listening, publishing, analytics and reporting.
  • Experience and knowledge in executing paid advertising campaigns on social media.
  • Has a thorough understanding of existing and emerging social media platforms and can drive business outcomes through appropriate channel selection and adoption.
  • A recognised degree, post-graduate diploma or professional degree in digital media, advertising, marketing, mass communications or equivalent.
  • Demonstrates excellent organisational skills and capable of managing and prioritising multiple tasks.
  • Possesses strong creative, strategic, analytical and communication skillsets.
  • Strong proficiency in English, both verbally and written.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills across diverse personalities and backgrounds.
  • Being skilled in graphic design and video editing is an advantage.
