About the Department
The Wholesale Bank function operates a dynamic business model that provides financial services and solutions to help our clients achieve their strategic business objectives. Our mission is to become the premier-provider of banking services and solutions for Asia-based commercial banking companies (small medium enterprises), large corporations, financial institutions as well as multinational corporations. Our coverage teams work in full alignment with specialised teams across Transaction Banking, Investment Banking, Global Markets and Group Retail to deliver seamless solutions to our clients.
Job Responsibilities
Perform pre-processing checks on Trade Finance transactions such as Import Financing & Bankers Acceptances
Ensure handling of shipping documents and all trade financing are in compliance with policies, rules, guidelines, Standard Operating Procedures and Service Level Agreements
Ensure care and due diligence is exercised on day to day operational matters in relation to AML/CFT procedures
Attend to queries from internal & external customers
Acquire relevant knowledge and training while performing the day to day operations thus providing support and advisory, when required
Handle ad hoc duties as and when assigned by Team Leader/Management
Checking of trade transactions guided by bank\'s policy, operating procedures and standards set.
Ensure registration, checking & EWF of trade transactions to TROC on a timely basis & within SLA set.
Ensure awareness and full compliance of all laid down rules, policies, guidelines, procedures, practices and code of conduct imposed by the organization.
Establish and maintain close working relationship with Business, branches and other departments in the organization to facilitate the smooth running and processing of the day to day operations, including approval request, where applicable.
Assist the team management in overseeing the daily operations of the team and contribute towards meeting the team\'s objectives
Manage reconciliation of trade documents against reports
Provide advisory services on trade related matters
Job Requirements
Possess a degree
At least 2-4 years of relevant working experience
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Self-motivated, team player with the ability to work independently under tight timelines
