We're seeking a
Back-end Developer - AS400 Manager
to lead environment setup, data management, and technical operations for large-scale systems in a government agency setting.You'll take ownership of
AS/400 systems, Aldon Change Management, and IBM test environments
, ensuring every release runs securely, efficiently, and on schedule.If you're detail-driven, highly technical, and love being the go-to problem solver behind mission-critical systems -- this role is for you.
What You'll Do
Plan, implement, and manage AS400 test environments
together with vendors following project and organizational methodologies. Collaborate closely withdevelopers, QA, and vendors
to ensure readiness and compliance with security standards. Performenvironment provisioning, configuration, patching, and ongoing maintenance.
Resolve environment and data issues
during SIT/UAT testing cycles. Managetester access, data provisioning, and availability
for all testing phases. Extract, mask, and preparetest data using IBM Optim
or equivalent tools. SupportIBM Optim upgrades
and ensure timelines are met with vendor collaboration.What You Bring
? Strong
AS/400 / IBM iSeries
expertise -- hands-on withsystem administration, CL scripting, job management, backups, and PTF handling.
? Proven experience with
Aldon Change Management (LMi)
-- code promotions, workflows, version control, and troubleshooting.? Skilled in
environment provisioning and maintenance
for SIT/UAT environments.? Hands-on experience with
IBM Infosphere Optim
or similartest data management tools
-- including data extraction, masking, and refresh processes.? Excellent
team collaboration and communication skills
