Job Description

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain back-end services using Spring Boot.

Build and maintain RESTful APIs and integrate with third-party services.

Design and optimize database schemas (MySQL).

Collaborate with front-end developers, product managers, and other stakeholders.

Implement security and data protection measures (JWT, OAuth2, etc.).

Apply best practices in microservice architecture, error handling, logging, and documentation.

Participate in code reviews, troubleshooting, and performance tuning.

Deploy and monitor applications (Docker, CI/CD pipelines are a plus).

Skills & Competencies

Required Skills & Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience.

2+ years experience in back-end development using Spring Boot.

Strong understanding of Java 21+ fundamentals.

Experience working with REST API design, JSON/XML, and request handling.

Proficiency in relational databases (MySQL) and ORM/JPA (Hibernate).

Knowledge of Spring Security, Spring Data, and Spring Cloud.

Familiarity with Docker, Git, and CI/CD pipelines.

Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work collaboratively in Agile/Scrum environments.

Preferred Skills (Added Advantage)

Experience with microservices architecture using Spring Cloud or Kubernetes.

Hands-on experience with AWS Cloud services.

Understanding of RabbitMQ / Kafka message queues.

Familiarity with GraphQL, gRPC, or WebFlux (Reactive) frameworks.

Knowledge of unit testing and integration testing (JUnit, Mockito).

Experience with MongoDB, Redis, or other NoSQL databases.

Bonus Skills (Optional but Advantageous)

Experience with TypeScript

Knowledge in Next.js / Nuxt.js for SSR & SSG

Familiarity with Figma / Adobe XD / Zeplin for design handoff

Knowledge in SEO best practices
