Job Description

Southern Cake Bakery & Caf\xc3\xa9 is a Halal certified Bakery located at Permyjaya Miri Sarawak.
We are searching for skilled, creative Bakers who is able to provide excellent baked products such as Buns, Pastries & various Baked products for sale to customers.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and checks all ingredients to be used in baking cakes as per SOP
• Measuring and combining ingredients using scale and graduated containers and using mixers, blenders, heat sources, and other equipment to make baked goods, such as Buns & Pastries & other baked products
• Decorating and displaying finished products.
• Testing ingredients and finished goods to ensure that each item meets food safety and quality controls.
• Ensure preparation and baking area are in a neat and hygienic manner
• Able to create new ideas for cake and bakery. Understand customers\' needs and create product solutions
• Ensure finished products are in good/high quality as per SOP and creative bakery products to satisfy the customer
• Cleaning and restocking workstations and ensuring that all equipment are washed, cleaned, sanitized and prepared all the time
• Ensures proper storage of food in assigned areas
• Ensures high standards of personal appearance and hygiene with clean uniforms
• Follow the instructions and recommendations from superiors to complete the daily tasks
• Ensure the highest standards and consistent quality in the daily preparation and keep up to date with new recipes and preparation techniques
• Coordinate and participate with other sections of requirements, cleanliness, wastage and cost control
• General kitchen duties (prep to cleaning)
• Able to multitask and follow instructions given by Superiors

Requirements

• Possess Basic skills and knowledge in baking techniques
• Prior given to those with experience in baking
• Self-motivated, possess positive attitude and has the ability to work with variety of people and can work with the team efficiently and effectively.
