Snapshot of the role: Join QL\'s Group IT team and be at the forefront of digital transformation, driving new technology and application solutions to facilitate process transformation across the entire group. As a BI & Analytics Specialist , you will play a crucial role within the Business Intelligence & Analytics team in Group IT dept. Your primary responsibility will be to gather business intelligence from diverse sources, analyse complex data sets, and formulate strategic recommendations to drive business growth and enhance overall operational efficiency for the entire QL Group\'s subsidiaries located in Malaysia, Indonesia and Vietnam. You are driven to: Design and build robust analytical models and solutions for actionable insights supporting key strategic decision-making. Deliver business requirements within agreed timelines, ensuring quality controls and customer satisfaction Conduct deep dives analytics based on business priorities and identify opportunities for improvement. Build data pipelines and manage data migration projects. Deliver both tactical and strategic solutions to support the organization\'s commercial objectives. Manage analytics and windowing functions, data modeling, performance tuning, and query optimization. Gather documents, analyse data requirements, and produce technical specifications. Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in business intelligence and analytics. What you\'ll need to succeed: Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor\'s Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) or equivalent. At least 4-6 years of proven experience in in business intelligence, data analysis, and analytics roles. Preferably within a fast-paced food, retail or manufacturing company. Strong commercial awareness with proven expertise in data analysis, visualization and stakeholder management skills. Has sound understanding of data warehousing principles and ETL concepts. Proficiency in one or more analytics tools ( Power BI, Qlik, SQL, Tableau, Excel, Python, R or similar). Knowledge of role-based access control [RBAC], secure views and other data segregation techniques. Experience working with the analysis of data from complex data sets and systems, and in Data Warehousing and Data Integration area. Experience in advanced analytics, business modelling, and optimisation, simulation modelling and statistical techniques. Strong analytical background, meticulous and possess data-driven mindset with high attention to details and accuracy. Great communication and interpersonal skills, proactive and able to multitask to meet deadlines. Candidate must be willing to be based at HQ, Shah Alam.
