Why does this job exist and why is it critical What are you accountable for 1. Initiate and participate in projects in the area of prediction, optimization, and processes using advanced statistical / mathematical approaches. This includes designing, development, testing and deployment of the applications. 2.Collaborate with Information Governance team and data engineers to understand company needs and develop possible solutions. 3. Implement most recent algorithms and approaches for machine learning in collaboration with our researchers. 4. Subject matter support on providing best architecture design guidance and select the most appropriate modelling techniques and data visualization for big data analysis or BI applications. 5. Responsible for learning new mathematical or technical methods for future data modelling related deliverables. 6. Optimize joint development efforts through appropriate database use and project design. 7. Adhere and follow change management process and documentation as per company\'s standard. What do you need to have to fit this role Experience in statistical modeling, machine learning, or data mining practice Capable of understand various data structures and common methods in data transformation Experience in SQL, relational databases, database concepts, dimensional modeling and database design Strong analytical and quantitative problem solving ability Good knowledge of Big Data querying tools, such as Pig, Hive, and Impala Experience with Cloudera/MapR/Hortonworks Candidate with knowledge of Business Intelligence/Data Warehouse in Telecommunication environment and business background is preferable. Working experience in RDBMS, Hyperion and QlikView will be added advantage. Data modeling experience with tools & languages such as SAS, R, Python, Java. Agile development experience. Good team player, committed, able to work independently and under pressure to meet project timeline. Good communication skills in English both written and oral.
