Job Description

Job Responsibilities:
1. Keep all kitchen work surfaces (counters, sinks, stoves, walls) clean and sanitized.
2. Help with routine food prep tasks (such as peeling and chopping vegetables).
3. Assist with basic cooking under the guidance of other cooks.
4. Keep the food and supply storage areas organized.
5. Check quality of ingredients.
6. Adhere to strict hygiene and safety practice and to work in a tidy manner at all times
7. To carry out periodic cleaning in accordance to the cleaning schedule.
8. To dispose of kitchen garbage as and when necessary, and clean waste bins at the end of each shift.

Job Requirements:
1. Minimum 6 months to 1 year of relevant working experience, preferably in the food catering industry.
2. SPM or more is a plus but not required.
3. Must be able to work on weekends and on public holidays when needed.
4. Familiar with Food Health and Safety Standards.
5. A fast learner with an interest in kitchen work.
6. Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure.
7. A professional attitude with strong work ethic and communication skills.
8. Excellent use of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and processes.
9. Required language(s): English, Bahasa Malaysia.

Basic Salary Range: RM1,500.00 to RM1,700.00 + OT
