About the Job In this position, you will function as a bioinformatician in the Malaysia office, and a key part of the technical team. You will conduct large sequence data wrangling and analysis, while interpreting these findings to draw conclusions regarding biological mechanisms. This is a position for individuals with a bioinformatics background looking to contribute their expertise into creating actionable medical and scientific solutions. Job Responsibilities: Refining data into user-friendly and analyzable formats Analyzing extensive 16S and shotgun metagenomics datasets Performing visualization and exploratory analysis on large datasets Identifying and independently exploring the most effective analytic approaches Establishing precise technical specifications based on high-level business requirements Crafting scientific documents and contributing to publications that detail our discoveries Delivering technical results to a leadership audience without technical expertise Effectively communicating with advisors and experts in biotech and healthcare Job Requirements: Bachelors or advanced degree (Masters or PhD) in Bioinformatics, Information Technology, Biostatistics, Computer Science or a related field Proficiency with operating systems and languages such as Linux, Python and R Experience with supervised and unsupervised learning algorithms Independent attitude and self-starter Strong communication and presentation skills Energetic and agile personality, able to thrive in a startup environment What\'s on offer: Exciting career progression opportunities in a growing industry player Competitive remuneration and benefits The chance to be part of a growing industry that makes a difference in people\'s lives
