The Role Junior Accountant The role of the Junior Accountant involves providing financial and administrative support to colleagues, clients, and stakeholders of the business. It\'s a role that may attract applicants keen to move up the financial corporate ladder; those with ambitions of being Finance Managers, or even the CFO one day. Job Highlights #1 e-marketplace for caterers Opportunities for enhanced learning Opportunities for outstanding career development Key Responsibilities Making payments/reconciling cash on an accounting basis Making payments/reconciling cash in the admin system Following up on client payments and de-bottlenecking Addressing client/vendor requests Notify and work with the Regional Head of Finance for matters that are \'out of process\' Oversee the issuance of sales invoices/billing statements to clients and payments to vendors Highlight issues in company finances and generate reports for Management Oversee, report on, and take action on Accounts Receivables/Payables where necessary Manage bank reconciliation and preparation of accounting statements (income, cash flow, balance sheet) Prepare and execute payroll and other payments Preparation of tax returns Conduct analysis of company financial performance to support Management decision-making, fundraising, etc. Record accounts on the system efficiently and in a timely manner Develop and document necessary accounting processes Ensure accurate tech implementation of financials (e.g., invoicing, purchase orders) on Smartbite platforms and make recommendations for improvements Work with the external auditor to report finances for accurate and timely business reporting Exhibit an excellent sense of honesty, integrity, and accountability Requirements Bachelor\'s Degree in Accounting and Finance Preferred at least 2 years of experience in AR/AP. Fresh graduate is encouraged to apply Proficient in Office suite (ie, spreadsheet, word processing), strong interpersonal and communication skills. Hands-on accounting software will be an added advantage (Xero, QB, etc)
