Job Description
The primary responsibility of a Calibration & QA Technician is the calibration and quality assurance testing of portable analyzers. This position would be required to read detailed work instructions to successfully complete the calibration and quality assurance of the product. The ability to work well as part of a coordinated team is also a requirement.
Responsibilities
Perform routine calibration data collection and test measurements
- Understand, troubleshoot and communicate calibration issues, mitigating downtime and waste
- Conduct root cause analysis and employ corrective actions in response to identified calibration or quality issues
- Other product or process related projects
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- knowledge of analytical instrumentation and testing and calibration processes.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word
- Critical attention to minute details
- Punctual and reliable
- Good communication skills verbally and written
- Management may assign tasks requiring judgment in resolving issues or in making recommendations.
- Proven attention to detail and concern for a high standard of quality
- Alert to the environment to avoid hazards in the work place
- Orderly, keeping work environment clean and organized
- Previous experience with analytical instrumentation testing preferred
- Minimum Diploma in Engineering; chemistry or laboratory technique or equivalent.
