Please visit www.bruker.com SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES: Understand and develop manufacturing processes along with enterprise resource planning (ERP) system - SAP S/4 Hana platform Follow company policies and processes Initiate and support continuous improvement activities Document and improve your processes Work with cross-functional NPI teams for New Product Development from Conceptual phase through Proof of Manufacturing, Volume Production, and End of Life phases. Practice and promote (DFx) guidelines, Design for Manufacturing, Assembly, Test, Reliability, and Service. Provide feedback to design engineers during design reviews using DFx principles, best practices, and lessons learned from previous projects. Lead process Failure Mode Effect Analysis (pFMEA) activities Contribute to design Failure Mode Effect Analysis (dFMEA) activities Leads and transitions subsequent in- sourcing strategies if required into Operations and works closely with Product Development, Manufacturing Operations, Manufacturing Engineer for sustaining products along with Product Development and Operations internal customers to: Provide sustaining engineering expertise and project management of in-sourcing strategies, including sustaining production requirements, quality improvement, and project management such as product transition, cost reduction, inventory reduction, and or sourcing change. Execution of manufacturing quality improvement strategy through final functional verification process (Final Test), managing non-conforming parts in process (NCMR), and closed loop corrective action (CLCR) Development of Manufacturing Documentation, Tooling, and Test Fixtures for both contract manufacturing and Identify and execute on opportunities for Gross Margin improvements through Risk and Mitigation plans per PLC and sourcing strategies. Lead projects related to Best Cost Manufacturing and aligned with business Examples may include Insourcing, Outsourcing, and/or Cost Reductions - Value Engineering. Lead product ownership from Proof of Manufacturing through BOM Maintenance, Engineering Changes, Design Improvements, Lean Manufacturing, DMAIC, DFMA and DFx on NPI Required Qualifications: User level experience with SAP a must (SAP S/4 Hana preferred) (example modules: Material Master, BOMs, Routings, Documents). Min 3 years\' current experience using cad design systems (Solid Edge preferred). Project management experience. Good engineering analytical skills in order to design and build tooling and fixtures for mechanical or electrical/electronic models. Good organization skills and ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously. Experience with NPI process as direct contributor and project manager is preferred. Experience with DFx, DFMEA, and PFMEA Experience in creating and maintaining BOM Experience in of writing ECOs (Engineering Change Orders). Experience in mechanical part & assembly design and making changes to existing design in 3D Experience in creating and editing production work instructions and Experience in troubleshooting complex electromechanical Work independently, strong team player, detail oriented, organized, and hands- Effective time management skills to meet deadlines Above average fluency with Microsoft Office products International travel (may be required 4wks per Actual travel duration and frequency will depend on project requirements.) Preferred Qualifications Experience in Solidworks, SolidEdge Experience managing third party Familiar with ISO9001 requirements, continuous improvement, and Six Sigma Experience in a similar, highly engineered, low volume, high mix, capital equipment environment that includes mechanical, electronic, and software composition. Experience in process-oriented business EDUCATIONAL/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: BS. in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent. Min 3 years current experience preferred, in Mechanical and automation assembly designs, including Manufacturing Engineering background using DFMA/DFx process for design and fabrication. Strong background in Manufacturing Engineering metrology background and product transition into operations preferred
