The Role of the Account Director

The Account Director that report and work closely with Group Account Director is responsible for contributing to the achievement of business plan objectives by the effective management of the provision of quality communication strategies to clients.

Job Purpose

\xc2\xb7 Maintain regular contact with clients

\xc2\xb7 Lead effective meetings

\xc2\xb7 Thorough knowledge of client\xe2\x80\x99s business, competitors and market

\xc2\xb7 Opportunities for incremental revenue increases identified and developed

\xc2\xb7 Development of all major and new campaign briefs

\xc2\xb7 Recommend appropriate research as required

\xc2\xb7 Brief Creative on campaigns

\xc2\xb7 Prepare strategies for selling creative work to clients ensuring creative is on strategy and within budget

\xc2\xb7 Media consulted on strategies as required

\xc2\xb7 Work conforms with corporate brand identity guidelines and media specifications

\xc2\xb7 Creative work confirms with advertising codes, legal and ethical standards

\xc2\xb7 Preparation and monitoring of annual financial plan

\xc2\xb7 Working knowledge of client contracts

\xc2\xb7 Sign-off of relevant financial related documentation (ISRs, POs, production estimates etc)

\xc2\xb7 Provide clients with accurate monthly budget/actual reconciliation/s for media/ production

\xc2\xb7 Preparation of accurate monthly client billing forecasts

\xc2\xb7 Record and maintain detailed headhours on all tasks

\xc2\xb7 Work trafficked in an effective manner

\xc2\xb7 Team members adhere to established processes and procedures

\xc2\xb7 All appropriate sign-offs obtained

\xc2\xb7 Team members have a clear understanding of job requirements

\xc2\xb7 Performance Agreements in place and reviews conducted on time

Qualifications

  • 8+ years creative agency or brand marketing experience
  • Strong operational prowess with experience building process
  • Exceptional digital marketing and strategic abilities across multiple business verticals
  • Influencer marketing and production experience highly preferred
  • Experience working and collaborating with cross-agency teams to build integrated marketing plans
  • Client or agency relationship management experience preferred
  • High level of comfort presenting to clients and internal team members
  • Self-starter, demonstrates initiative
  • Strong Leadership skills and ability to develop and mentor teams
