Job Description

• Knowledge of engineering principles and procedures in the design of Marine systems. Must be familiar with marine systems and associated materials/equipment needed to design functional systems to meet client and Company requirements.

• Perform Marine Engineering activities in accordance with Company and Project requirements under the supervision of a Lead / Principal Engineer or Discipline Manager.

• Responsible for conceptual, basic, and detailed engineering to ensure all required marine systems are functional and accounted for within a design and are compliant with internal and external requirements.

• Design efficient Marine Systems which can be realized safely and economically.

• May be assigned as a Package Engineer with technical responsibility for the Package.

• Marine Engineer must prioritize activities and liaise/interface effectively within and across disciplines as needed to ensure quality & timely deliverables.

• To perform Marine Engineering in conformance with all applicable and relevant legislation, standards, and codes.

• To prepare Marine System engineering documents such as design basis, design brief, design philosophy, specifications, PFDs, P&IDs, PSFD, in a manner that the design intent can be interpreted correctly.

• To perform calculations verifying the integrity of Marine Engineering designs.

• To prepare Marine equipment specifications, equipment sizing, and handle package management.

• To participate in HAZOP and other associated tasks and ensure closure of the tasks in a timely manner.

• To be fully aware and follow all Company Procedures and Guidelines relevant to the engineering of Marine Systems.

• Knowledge and experience in HVAC is an added advantage as it's expected that Marine Engineer would also look after HVAC scopes if / when required.

• Marine Engineer may be assigned as Discipline Lead for a project.

Job Requirements :

• Around 8 years of Marine Engineering experience, familiar with FEED and EPC projects. FPSO experience is an advantage.

• Bachelor's Degree in Marine / Mechanical / Chemical Engineering or higher.

• Highly self-motivated.

• Good team player who can effectively interfaces within and across disciplines.

• Know-how, Problem solving skills, Accountability and Competencies aligned with job level.
