Join us at PPG as a Business Analysis Specialist and help build the digital transformation of our research and product development laboratories. We offer a unique opportunity to work on a global scale, delivering solutions that fuel modern research and advanced product development. As a crucial member of our team, you will collaborate with Research and Product Development labs to clarify and communicate business requirements, implement process improvements, and provide invaluable support to the successful execution of the LabVantage LIMS project\'s three essential streams: Electronic Laboratory Notebook (ELN), Analytical Management System (AMS), and Chemical Inventory Management (CIM). Your responsibilities extend to supporting ongoing projects and previously launched laboratories across PPG locations worldwide, including the United States, China, and Europe.

As a key contributor to the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) Center of Excellence team, you will be at the forefront of international implementation projects, shaping the strategic use of technology to enhance laboratory management processes. Your role will involve up to 20% travel, depending on project needs.

Main Responsibilities

Leverage your comprehensive understanding of practices, policies, processes, and procedures to expertly solve complex problems and make informed decisions.

Apply your experience in using technology to effectively manage business and functional processes.

Previous experience in business process re-engineering or process improvement is desirable, involving broad based

information systems and using tools and techniques to effect business change.

Rapidly assimilate assigned business domain processes and related LIMS modules to develop precise LIMS workflows aligned with functional requirements.

Skillfully assess the dimensions of laboratory workflow processes, encompassing people, process, and technology considerations.

Collaborate closely with Subject Matter Experts to champion the adoption of the value system, driving transformative change throughout the research organization.

Cultivate a detailed understanding of end-to-end flows within your LIMS domain/module. Customize options while adhering to LIMS standards and master data requirements.

Participate actively in requirement gathering, create functional designs, conduct testing, and align solutions with business processes.

Solve intricate problems spanning diverse environments within the business area.

Communicate complex concepts effectively with management at all levels, ensuring clear understanding.

Thrive within a nonhierarchical, flat organizational structure, potentially operating under dual reporting relationships. Flourish in an unstructured, hands-on environment that requires a consultative approach and multi-environment solutions.

Employ your influence to persuade business stakeholders to adopt recommended solutions, leveraging your functional and business acumen.

Qualifications

Demonstrate experience in strategically leveraging technology to enhance laboratory management processes.

Working knowledge of an industry standard LIMS platforms such as LabVantage, Labware, Biovia, Agilent, or comparable technology is a plus

A university degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Chemistry, Physics, or related scientific field with laboratory knowledge.

Requires 3+ years of experience in their area of functional expertise

Showcase exceptional analytical and conceptual skills, showcasing your ability to approach complex challenges strategically.

Exhibit proficiency in oral and written including technical writing, to convey complex information.

Demonstrate a experience with complex problem-solving and decision-making, even within intricate business scenarios.

Strong technical knowledge and ability to translate complex technical concepts

Skillfully present data and information in a meaningful, interpretable format.

Must be comfortable working remotely using primarily virtual means of collaborating with colleagues and managers

Exhibit willingness to attend meetings outside regular hours when required.

Display high levels of motivation and dedication to delivering top-quality work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Business fluency in Mandarin Chinese and English is a requirement
