JOB DESCRIPTION: Job Title: Business Analyst Key Responsibilities: Functional - Writing and synthesizing the business requirement/functional design across one medium or multiple small project(s) Process - Checking completeness of functional design compared with business requirements. Carrying out small changes to the requirements process to make it leaner Risks - Conducting operational capacity planning and risk assessments for all requirements that are not met technically. Carrying out operational readiness planning for small to medium projects deployment Consult with business team to determine system functional specifications and collaborate with multiple integrated system teams and other business units to meet the project requirement objectives. Evaluate new IT developments requirements by evolving the business requirements received and recommend appropriate systems alternatives and/or enhancements to current systems by analyzing business processes, systems and industry standards. Understand the business requirement and conduct system feasibility study, current system behavior analysis, integrated system inquiry and technical brainstorming with the technologists. Prepare Functional Specification Document [FSD], to be referred during code development, testing and implementation phases, including formulation and definition of systems scope, objectives, necessary system enhancements for complex and high-impact projects, UML diagrams presentation and RTM preparation Identify and communicate risks and impacts and propose risk mitigation options to the project team, considering business implications of the application of technology to the current business environment Provide in-depth and sophisticated analyses with interpretive thinking to define problems, involve in developing innovative solutions and influence strategic functional decisions. Provide clarification to code developers and SIT/UAT testers and provide support throughout the project development, testing and implementation phases. Provide assistant and support to ITPM by appropriately assessing risk when business decisions are made, safeguarding the system by driving compliance with applicable laws, applying sound ethical judgment regarding the requirement received and assist to ensure the business requirement are within the agreed project scope Job Specification: Qualifications (Basic Degree/Diploma etc.): BSc in Computer Science or related field MBA / Business / Economics / Accounting related academic qualifications highly preferred. Professional Qualification and/or Regulatory, Licensing requirements: Certificate - 1 elementary certificate (or above) or equivalent experience in business analysis. Relevant Work Experience: 5 years' experience in IT or business area, and preferably business analysis or in a business / operational unit in a bank Required Competencies and Skills: Competencies/Skills: Technical/Functional skills: Frameworks & tools - Familiar with programming paradigms and business requirements frameworks (e.g., use cases, stories ). Mastery of how requirements are written in different formats (e.g. stories for agile). Proficient in IT ALM and programming methodologies and modeling tools to achieve them Processes - Proficient in bank's business processes in respective domain Business knowledge - Proficient in 1 functional domains of banking knowledge. Personal skills (Soft Competencies [Core/Leadership]): Strong team work and collaborative mindset, required in working effectively in a team/ project-based environment Good stakeholder management skills and experience Effective presentation skills, required in articulating analyses and putting forward proposals, recommendations, etc.
