We are seeking an ambitious and driven Business Development Senior Associate with experience in the solar energy industry to help drive business growth at our rapidly growing solar energy company. The ideal candidate is a self-starter, has strong relationship building and negotiation skills, with a strong B2B network.

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Grow the company\xe2\x80\x99s solar asset portfolio by closing deals with potential commercial and industrial clients looking to go solar
  • Sign on and manage strategic Solar Engineering, Procurement, and Construction and Commissioning (EPCC) partnerships to increase the company\xe2\x80\x99s investment pipeline and client-base.
  • Develop and implement a strategic business plan to expand the company\xe2\x80\x99s commercial and industrial client base and ensure its strong market presence.
  • Drive the company\'s market position and achieve financial growth by defining long-term organisational strategic goals, building key customer relationships, identifying business opportunities, and negotiating and closing business deals.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to align company solutions with client needs and market trends.
  • Manage and coach the Business Development team in executing strategies to drive business growth and expand our client base.
  • Deliver presentations and reports to the executive leadership team, highlighting business development activities and outcomes.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor\'s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field.
  • Proven track record of developing strategic partnerships and driving sales growth in business development within the solar energy sector.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar business development role in the renewable energy sector.
  • Deep understanding of the renewable energy market and its current and future trends.
  • Ability to think strategically, translate market dynamics into business plans, and execute with minimal supervision.
  • A strong team player, able to collaborate and positively impact team dynamics and outcomes.
  • Willingness to travel as needed to meet with clients and potential clients
About Our Client:

Our Client is a solar energy developer and investment firm. They invest in, and develop Commercial and Industrial (C&I) solar plants on the rooftops of C&I buildings such as factories and shopping malls, for zero upfront cost. They subsequently sell the solar energy to our C&I clients at a lower tariff rate than their existing electricity provider. Over the next 2 years, they are investing RM200m into C&I solar plants.
