About the job Business Development (Automation)

Primary Objective:

  • \xef\xbb\xbf\xef\xbb\xbfProspect and convert to accounts, target customers by visiting them, gathering vital data as directed by management, and building relationships with key-decision makers.
  • The position is field based with great focus on achieving sales results in all the organization\'s products and promoting the company as a provider of total industrial electrical solutions. You will be required to develop a working knowledge of all WEG products and systems.
  • Sells products to business and industrial establishments or individuals via direct and indirect contact, performing the duties listed below.
  • This position will also be responsible to provide technical and pre-sales support to staff, distributors and customers on application of the organization\'s Automation product.
\xef\xbb\xbfJob Responsibilities:
  • \xef\xbb\xbfProspect target customers, visit them frequently to create market awareness of to organization and raise our profile in the marketplace in order to realize an individual (yearly) sales budget
  • Collaboratively develop an individual business plan and work in accordance with the regional business plan, following instructions from Head of Sales, as well as top management to realize sales budget and planning for your assigned customers and/or territory.
  • Organize trips to target customers, both alone and jointly with management, as well as technical seminars and meetings
  • Visit and meet with potential and current customers to make formal presentation of the organization, our product range and services or to discuss special product inquiries or customers needs
  • Provide clear, logical, comprehensive and accurate reports on trips and customer profiling data.
  • Liaise with customers to identify their primary needs, map decision makers, and ensure our offers and approach meet or exceed their expectations.
  • Ensure customer orders contain the necessary information to process them, assist in clarifying ambiguous information and obtaining missing data.
  • Compile and follow up quotations and tenders to successful order and provide appropriate feedback to management if orders are not placed.
  • Collaborate with other Sales members and departments/Business Units to gather intelligence on projects and systems being managed or commercialized within the territory.
  • Read and interpret commercial contracts
  • Liaising with sales support on commercial and technical matters
  • Liaise with the organization\'s factory on technical matters concerning the use, quality, start-up and troubleshooting of the organization\'s Automation Products.
  • Execute complex calculations on Inverter and Soft Starter sizing
  • Provide support to major industry fairs
  • Allocated duties not specifically within this document, but within the capacity, qualifications and experience normally expected from a person occupying a position at this level
Job Requirements:
  • \xef\xbb\xbf\xef\xbb\xbfElectrical Engineering Degree/Diploma is essential.
  • Minimum 2 years related experiences with Automation & Control product. (Inverter, Soft Starter, Industrial Control products)
  • A strong commercial background and sales skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret commercial contracts
  • Communication skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
  • Mathematical skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Computer skills: Proficiency in the following computer software is required: word, excel, power point and Microsoft outlook.
  • Reasoning ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving variables in standardized situations.
  • Certificates, licenses, registrations: A valid and current drivers licence.is required
