Job Summary FM Business Risk Manager, Sales COO is a hands-on, results oriented role supporting the Financial Markets activities across FM Sales and Structuring region. The role is responsible for the delivery of a robust controls environment which enables the business to meet its overall financial objectives and protecting the best interests of our clients. Develop awareness and understand the challenges and complexity of the products and FM business for Sales and Structuring Responsibilities Business Understand the overall Enterprise Operational Risk Framework, the Process Universe (PU),Financial Market (FM) Top Risks, Potential Failures / Causes (PFs), related Controls and associated Metrics to ensure we have a safe and robust operating environment Identify and report failures in processes and material breaches to controls Leads the design and implementation of new controls and monitors required to fulfil new internal policy/regulatory requirements. Manage Management Information (MI) and changes in Risk data using M7 platforms, to assess materiality of risk that drives our risk agenda priorities Work closely with COO Rules Engine and FMSW teams in the automation of controls Develop DOIs and provide guidance to Central Control Team (CCG) for test control checks for wider implementation to ensure the effective offshoring of existing control monitors and new ones as they arise. Assist business in audit preparation work and regulations enquiries Prepare presentation materials for ad hoc, monthly, and quarterly forums Support and operate appropriate risk related forums Facilitate management communications to persuasively communicate the business opportunities, vision for solutions and key competitive differentiators Acting as a support partner to FM Sales COO Management Team Regulatory & Business Conduct Display exemplary conduct and live by the . Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank. This includes understanding and ensuring compliance with, in letter and spirit, all applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and the Group Code of Conduct. Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters. Key stakeholders FM Sales COO FM Sales and Structuring Management Team FM Regional COO teams FM Functional Heads Group Internal Audit FM Legal FM Conduct, Financial Crime and Compliance (CFCC) FM Operations Other Responsibilities As delegated by line management from time to time Qualifications Over 3 years of relevant experience Strong risk management and controls background. Highly effective verbal and written English communication skills Strong presentation, time management, negotiation and influencing skills Strong communication and presentation skills to varying levels of management Proven ability to collaborate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders Ability to influence without authority Ability to manage multiple work streams with strong problem solving and analytical skills Able to communicate and articulate ideas and solutions to stakeholders in order to overcome problems. Strong advocate of continuous improvement in quality and delivery of the team Competent in using Microsoft Office tools (especially PowerPoint and Excel) and Tableau, as these tools are primarily used to produce the MIs and present data to stakeholders. Knowledge of Financial Markets, FM process supervision and governance, financial crime compliance will be an advantage. Role Specific Technical Competencies Analytical & Software Skills:Data interpretation, visualisation, and reporting. Adequate knowledge around Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and Tableau, as these tools are primarily used to produce the MI. Must be able to troubleshoot and resolve issues on these tools.
