At Demant Technology & Innovation Centre, Malaysia

Over the next 12 months, we aim to hire 100 developers to help create life-changing software solutions to help hearing and balance impaired people.

We need you if you think that software development is about more than writing code. We see it as a collaborative and iterative process aimed to build well-tested and high-quality software solutions and need your participation to continue our ambitious plans in helping hearing- and balance impaired people.

You will join our Commercial Technology Team with dedicated Developers, Architects, Testers, Scrum Masters and Team Leads located in Denmark, Poland, and Malaysia. We develop and maintain our global aftermarket support tool for Demant Diagnostics. We are creating a solution used internally for our sales companies to calibrate and maintain audiological equipment globally.

You will take part in expanding the solution with additional functionally and ensure high up-time globally. To make the solution efficient we have integrations to our Salesforce platform used across the group. We foresee next revision of the products will be developed side-by-side with maintenance of the current solution. The work requires interest into engineering area with focus on sound and signal analysis, we have a dedicated team for handled this, but basic understanding is encouraged in to implement new features.

Work with complex and exciting technologies

Throughout all phases of software development, you and the rest of the team will develop and maintain best-in-class software solutions used for medical diagnosis of the hearing and balance senses, making sure new features and data processing are implemented according to requirements, and any refactoring adds value to both the architecture and business.

You will take part in high- and midlevel design and architecture decisions for software projects which are known for:

The decision process is a collaboration between the team, the product owner and the project manager.

Initially you will become part of a Danish software development team to learn and adapt to the development processes and work culture. In time you will report to a local team lead or Head of software in the Demant Technology and Innovation Centre in Kuala Lumpur.

Qualifications

We expect you to hold a degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, IT, Software or similar. You have programming experience in an object-oriented language, thus bringing both theoretical knowledge and practical skills. If you are open to sharing your thoughts and receiving feedback when participating in code- and design reviews, then you are the perfect match for this role.

Most importantly, you are a team player willing to learn about Scandinavian culture and to share the Malaysian way of working.

To sum up it, we expect you can see yourself in some of following bullets:
  • B.Sc Computer Science, IT, Software or similar
  • Development languages: C#
  • 5 years of experience
  • JSON, XML, XSLT knowledge and experience
  • SQL experience
  • Good communication skills in English (talking, writing and reading proficiency)
  • Ability to collaborate effortlessly and fluently in English in a low hierarchy organization
  • Easy to learn new things quickly and interest to be trained /upskilled
  • Preferred electronics understanding
  • Experience with Azure services, Functions, DevOps
