Job Summary:A barista is responsible for preparing and serving a variety of coffee and other beverages to customers. Key Responsibilities: Prepare Beverages: Prepare and serve a range of coffee, tea, and other beverages, including espresso, cappuccinos, lattes, and iced drinks, according to customer preferences and established recipes. Customer Service: Greet customers warmly, take orders, and provide a friendly, efficient, and personalized service experience. Address customer questions and concerns promptly and professionally. Quality Control: Ensure that beverages are consistently made to the highest quality and presentation standards. Monitor product freshness and quality. Maintain Equipment: Keep coffee and espresso machines, grinders, and other equipment clean and in working order. Report any equipment issues to the manager. Cash Handling: Handle cash and card transactions accurately and maintain an organized cash register. Give correct change and provide receipts as needed. Stock and Inventory: Restock coffee beans, syrups, milk, and other supplies as necessary. Maintain proper inventory levels and report any shortages to management. Cleanliness: Keep the work area, including countertops, utensils, and equipment, clean and sanitized at all times. Follow food safety and hygiene guidelines.
