Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

1. Handling the Payment Counter

Manage cash, debit/credit card, and e-wallet transactions (e.g., Touch 'n Go, GrabPay, DuitNow). Calculate bills accurately and issue receipts. Ensure the cash float is sufficient and organized at all times.

2. Daily Sales Recording

Record daily sales in the POS system or logbook. Prepare a simple report at the end of each shift/closing time. Perform cash balancing to ensure there is no discrepancy.

3. Customer Service

Greet customers politely when they approach the counter. Assist customers with inquiries about menu items, prices, or promotions. Handle minor complaints calmly and professionally.

4. Counter Cleanliness & Arrangement

Keep the counter clean, tidy, and well-organized. Arrange equipment such as the POS machine, payment terminal, tissues, and other supplies.

5. Managing Additional Products

Handle the sale of additional items such as cigarettes, prepaid reloads, or bottled drinks. Ensure stock is sufficient and accurately counted.

6. Safety & Integrity

Safeguard all cash at the counter. Do not leave the counter unattended without permission or replacement staff. Report any suspicious transactions or system errors to the manager.

7. Team Collaboration

Communicate with waiters and kitchen staff regarding special customer requests. Assist during peak hours if needed (e.g., packing simple takeaway orders). Provide accurate information about customer orders to other staff.

8. Additional Tasks (If Assigned)

Update menu prices in the POS system. Assist with daily stock count of counter items. Manage Foodpanda, GrabFood, or other delivery platform orders.

Ability to commute/relocate:

Kuantan (China Town) : Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)

Pay: RM1,700.00 - RM2,500.00 per month
