Description Primary Objective: This role supports the Head of Corporate Communications & Media Relations in developing and implementing the communications and media outreach strategy and plan, and evaluating its efficacy, to strengthen and boost the Group\'s brand image domestically and regionally. This role will lead all aspects of corporate communications and media relations initiatives including (but not limited to) reputation, crisis and issues management, and managing the integrated and sustainability reports. This encompasses addressing media queries, organising and facilitating media engagement and events, and oversight for content development across the Group\'s external platforms. He/she will also develop and facilitate the publishing of the Group\'s integrated and sustainability reports in print and digitally, including crafting and finetuning RHB leaders\' messages, liaise with internal and external stakeholders, and managing the various aspects of the reports. Key Responsibilities: To support Head of Corporate Communications and Media Relations in the following areas: Strategic Communications Communications Strategy, Roadmap and Tacticals Develop, plan and implement the Group\'s communications strategy that aligns with the Group\'s overall corporate strategy and brand positioning Liaise with business units to provide communications strategy for business-driven projects/initiatives/campaigns External Communications Draft, edit, and proofread all external communications materials including, but not limited to, news releases, media responses, holding statements, media FAQs, Chairmen and GMD\'s speeches for external events and audience, Ensure key messages across the business units are clear and consistent with RHB\'s corporate strategy, brand positioning, identity and values across all communication materials Liaise with key stakeholders on communications matters Internal Communications Draft, review and revise internal communications from senior management to all staff, including but not limited to Chairman and GMD messages to all staff, senior management members\' messages to all staff on Group-wide initiatives, and industry news Lead and manage dissemination of internal communications materials to all staff via the Media and Corporate Communications\' mailboxes Media Relations and Management Manage relationship with the media and be the key PIC on all media liaison matters Plan and implement the Group\'s media profiling activities/exercises Lead and be responsible for media relations for on-ground events Organise and implement media trainings for relevant spokespersons Implement media relations initiatives according to approved plans, objectives and schedule Plan, organise and implement media engagement for senior management, such as media luncheons Monitor and analyse media coverage and review coverage report Integrated/Sustainability Reports (\'IR/SR\') Develop and project manage the integrated and sustainability reports from concept to publication. Draft, review and fine-tune the RHB Leaders\' messages for integrated and sustainability reports (e.g. Chairman Statement, Group Managing Director, Management Discussion & Analysis, Value Creation Business Model, etc.) Facilitate and manage internal (GMCs, SBGs and SFGs) and external stakeholders (creative agency, copywriters, proofreaders, translators, photographers, publishing house) to successfully complete the IR/SR and publish it by the deadline. Administration and Governance Assist in the development, maintenance and implementation of internal policies, manuals, processes and other administrative material, including the review and awarding of contracts Others Provide support to other functions within the Group Sustainability and Communications department where necessary Requirements Requirements: Bachelor Degree - . Degree in one of the following: Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, English and/or other job-related field At least 5years of relevant work experience in a position requiring the knowledge and application of strategic communications Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Malay, as well as experience in editing and effective dissemination to internal and external audiences (samples of work required) Able to engage in creative, strategic and critical thinking and possesses background in handling reputation, crisis and issues management Experience in providing support for pre-event preparations, as well as on-ground and virtual events Experience in developing and project managing Annual, Integrated and/or Sustainability reports Knowledge of public relations, media relations, practices, communications strategies and implementation, as well as business/corporate journalism Ability to work independently and in teams Strong written and oral communication skills Proficient in English and Bahasa Malaysia. Proficiency in other languages is an added advantage Knowledge and experience in marketing communications, web and social media tools, e.g. Word Press, SEO, LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube, Facebook, X (formerly known as Twitter), etc., are an added advantage.
