Position: Certified Prosthetist & Orthotist (CPO) Location: Malaysia Reporting to: Executive Director Service
- To provide prosthetic and orthotic services for all patients who require such services.
- To evaluate and decide on the requirements of the patients.
- To design and innovate as per the requirements of the patients.
- To supervise and train technician(s) in the fabrication of all goods.
- To ensure the quality of highest standards are maintained for all goods supplied.
- To ensure that all goods are supplied within the stipulated time.
- To evaluate and finalize proper, patient friendly and safe fitting of the all products.
- To provide advice and expert opinion when required for co-working personnel, patients and their relatives.
- To attend ward rounds and clinics wherever and whenever necessary (within and outside of Selangor) and to participate actively.
- To actively disseminate the services of the centre (within and outside of the State).
- To provide home / institution etc services for patients who are unable to access the Workshop.
- To ensure proper and optimal usage of material to avoid wastage or damage to raw materials.
- To maintain a proper and updated inventory and maintenance of all equipment, tools and materials.
- To maintain safety standards for operations so as not to endanger staff and patients.
- To ensure and assist in receipt of all monies and in the maintenance of proper accounts.
- To provide in-depth training for the technicians while on the job.
- To provide organized scheduled weekly training on orthotic and prosthetic skills for the technician(s).
- To ensure each of the technician(s) are skilled to perform the work of a grade II P&O.
- To maintain the highest standard of professionalism at all times.
- To promote and update oneself in the latest technologies.
- To actively promote the products and services of the Workshop.
- To create and build a harmonious, motivational, and appreciative working relationship with all staff, patients and the public.
- To be dedicated to improve the overall productivity of the Workshop.
