ABOUT THE ROLE
The Channel and Territory Manager plays a key role in planning, developing, and optimising SalesWorks' sales channels and territories.
This role involves managing a team of five to identify prime sales sites, negotiate access, and drive customer acquisition through effective territory management.
The position requires close collaboration with clients and internal teams to ensure operational excellence, cost efficiency, and year-round event availability.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
A. Territory & Channel Development:
- Explore and expand diverse sales routes, including streets, residential penetration, private venues, events, and door-to-door opportunities.
- Identify and evaluate potential sites based on footfall, performance metrics, and cost efficiency.
- Negotiate access and secure free or low-cost site arrangements wherever possible.
- Establish long-term site strategies to ensure consistent event availability throughout the year.
- Partner with clients to plan and execute large-scale events aligned with brand and sales goals.
B. Operational Excellence:
- Develop and implement SOPs for booking, managing, and reviewing site operations.
- Ensure site activities align with budget, ROI, and cost-per-acquisition targets.
- Oversee site logistics and setup for seamless on-ground execution.
- Review event materials and processes to optimise engagement and conversion.
- Manage administrative requirements such as insurance, payments, and compliance.
C. Analytics & Reporting:
- Conduct performance analysis and penetration reporting across territories.
- Provide actionable insights on site productivity, cost-effectiveness, and emerging trends.
- Recommend and implement strategic adjustments based on data-driven findings.
D. Team Leadership:
- Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of five to deliver high performance and operational excellence.
- Manage scheduling, deployment, and adherence to operational standards.
- Foster a culture of accountability, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
E. Strategic Planning & Communication:
- Collaborate with Sales Managers to align site strategies with overall business targets.
- Communicate site plans, event schedules, and results clearly and consistently.
- Partner with clients and internal departments to enhance customer experience and conversion.
- Identify new opportunities and spaces to expand sales channels and market reach.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
A Diploma or Degree holder in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
A professional with at least 3 years of managerial experience in the events, sales, or field marketing industry.
Proven success in territory or channel management with hands-on leadership experience.
Strong financial acumen and experience managing budgets.
Excellent negotiation, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
Strong analytical and organisational abilities.
Hands-on experience with event setup, logistics, and activations.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
A leadership mindset with the ability to drive team performance and process improvement.
Proactive, adaptable, and resourceful with a focus on outcomes.
