Job Description


  • Prepare and cook menu items in accordance with the caf\xc3\xa9\'s recipes and quality standards. This includes chopping vegetables, preparing meats and seafood, and other cooking tasks.
  • Oversee a specific section of the kitchen, such as the grill, saut\xc3\xa9, or salad station. Ensure all dishes from the station are prepared and presented correctly and in a timely manner.
  • Maintain high food quality standards and ensure all dishes leaving the kitchen are of the highest quality, properly seasoned, and well-presented.
  • Assist in managing inventory and stock levels for the station.
  • Notify the Head Chef or Kitchen Manager when supplies are low and need to be replenished.
  • Work closely with other chefs, kitchen staff, and servers to ensure efficient and effective communication within the kitchen and to deliver excellent service to customers.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, following all food safety and hygiene standards.
  • Clean and sanitize utensils, equipment, and work area regularly.
  • Follow the caf\xc3\xa9\'s standard recipes and portion sizes, ensuring consistency in food preparation and presentation.
  • Have a thorough understanding of the menu items, including ingredients, preparation methods, and presentation. Be able to answer customer inquiries regarding menu items.
Job Requirements:
  • Previous experience working in a caf\xc3\xa9 or restaurant kitchen is required. Experience in a similar role an added advantage.
  • Strong cooking skills, good knife skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work well under pressure. Knowledge of various cooking techniques and cuisines.
  • The job may require standing for long periods, lifting heavy objects, and working in a hot and fast-paced environment.
  • Good understanding of food safety guidelines and the ability to implement them in daily tasks.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment and collaborate effectively with other kitchen staff.
  • Some positions may require creativity in developing new dishes or specials for the menu.
  • Be able to adapt to changes in the menu, different dietary requirements, and special requests from customers.
  • This role will be based in Jalan Gasing, Petaling Jaya.
Job Type: Full-time Salary: RM2,500.00 - RM3,000.00 per month Benefits:
