We are seeking a visionary and experienced Chief Engineer to join our dynamic team in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. As the leader of our engineering department, you will play a crucial role in driving innovation, efficiency, and excellence in our facility's operations and infrastructure management.
Provide strategic leadership and direction to the engineering team, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement
Develop and implement comprehensive preventive maintenance programs for all building systems and equipment
Oversee and manage complex engineering projects, ensuring timely completion within budget constraints
Analyze and optimize energy consumption, implementing cutting-edge conservation measures to reduce operational costs
Ensure compliance with Malaysian building codes, safety regulations, and industry standards
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to minimize the impact of maintenance activities on daily operations
Manage relationships with external contractors and vendors, ensuring high-quality service delivery
Prepare and maintain accurate documentation, including maintenance records, project reports, and budget forecasts
Respond decisively to emergency situations, coordinating necessary repairs and minimizing downtime
Stay at the forefront of emerging technologies and best practices in facility management and engineering
Contribute to long-term strategic planning for facility improvements and upgrades, with a focus on sustainability and innovation

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related field)
Possess a valid
A4 Chargeman Certificate
Professional Engineering license
Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in facility management or related field, with at least 5 years in a leadership role
Proven track record in managing large-scale engineering projects and maintenance operations
Strong knowledge of building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire safety
Expertise in energy management and conservation techniques
Proficiency in project management and budgeting
Excellent leadership and team management skills
Outstanding problem-solving and analytical abilities
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
Proficiency in using facility management software and MS Office suite
Ability to work flexible hours and respond to emergency situations as needed
Familiarity with Malaysian building codes and regulations
Commitment to continuous learning and staying updated on industry trends
Experience with sustainable engineering practices
Knowledge of local building regulations and standards in Kuala Lumpur and Malaysia
