Job Description

Requirements and skills:
Possess knowledge in corporate financial law and risk management practices.
Skills in data analysis and forecasting methods.
Ability to strategize and solve problems
Strong leadership and organizational skills
Excellent communication and people skills
At least BSc/BA in Accounting, Finance or relevant field; or ACCA
Mininum 3 years of experience at the same position
Ad-hoc/others duties from time to time.

Major duties:
Oversee the Finance & Account Department for Group of companies in Malaysia.
Oversee the management and coordination of all fiscal reporting activities for the group including: consolidated financial statements, organizational revenue /expense and balance sheet reports, reports to funding agencies, developmentand monitoring of organizational and contract/grant budgets. Reviewing themonthly financial statements and prepare management reports for monthlymanagement meeting.
Develop and maintain systems of internal controls to safeguard financial assetsof the Group and the reparation of the annual financial statements is in accordance with relevant accounting standards. Ensuring the internal controlsare proper and adequate. To review and revise the workflows and system flowson a periodical basis.
To support all departments by providing value-added services such as financialadvice, credit control, operational controls;
Complying with the latest accounting standards, tax laws, Companies Act andother relevant legal requirements;
Overseeing the banking and treasury activities and cashflow planning for theGroup.
To assist in preparing reports for Board and Subcommittee meetings.
Be the lead staff on the Audit/Finance Committee.
To participate in the Audit/Finance Committee.

New projects, business or ventures
Participate in developing new business, specifically assist the CFO in identifyingnew funding opportunities, the preparation of budgets and forecast, anddetermining cost effectiveness of all companies within the Group.
Prepare investment justifications and assess the benefits of all prospectiveprojects, business or contracts and gives pragmatic advice to the Executive Team on the project and implementation matters.

Corporate Tax Planning
To evaluate various tax incentive schemes and optimize the tax benefits forindividual companies and the Group.
To review the tax computation for all the local companies prepared by the taxagents; Liaise with the tax agents and IRB on technical issues.
To conduct briefing and workshop sessions on taxations to any concernedparties within the company on a need basis.
To review and propose to CFO the most efficient tax structures for the Group.

Budget Planning
To support the CFO in the preparation of an annual plan and operating budget.Work with the Management Committee Members to ensure success throughfinancial and cost analysis support, and compliance with all contractualrequirements.
To coordinate and liaise with all companies on the annual budgeting so that theannual exercise can be presented and submitted in a timely manner.
To monitor and report on the actual performance against the budgetedperformance for all companies.

Staff Development
Train the department staff on raising awareness and knowledge of financialmanagement, accounting, corporate finance and tax matters.
