OVERVIEW
The Chief Financial Officer is part of the Finance function and reports hierarchically to the Country/Cluster Director and functionally to the Group Chief Financial Officer.
At a Senior level of experience, the Chief Financial Officer is responsible for developing operations activities by providing managerial and statutory financial accounts for the Market in compliance with local and Group governance, using relevant financial controls and systems, in efficient, timely and accurate manner, and ensuring cooperation, coordination and communication with HQ. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for Country/Cluster costs and revenues balance, managing the processes for financial closings, forecasting and budgets, and the preparation and monitoring of all financial reporting;
Provide managerial support and financial insight and analysis to drive business performance through the analysis of the managerial P&L to maximize margins and minimize cost, proposing corrective actions necessary to achieve company objectives;
Provide financial and statistical reports as defined by the Finance Business Partner, represent and comment variances versus Budget/Forecasts and ad-hoc analyses;
Calculate and monitor stock rotation, stock aging and obsolescence, collaborating with the proper functions to reach DSI targets and granting stock target values defined by HQ.;
Monitor cash flow, overdue credits and credits in dispute;
Support Sales, After Sales, Marketing and HR Departments in preparing reports and analyses;
Prepare MBOs for local employees and validate actual results;
Responsible for compliance of Statutory accounts with Group accounting principles (IFRS) and local GAAP, managing the relationship with external auditors;
Responsible for applying the Group Treasury Policy, cash management, managing customer credit policies, payment to suppliers, relationships with local financial institutions, optimizing company cash flow, collaborating with the proper functions to reach DSO target values defined by HQ;
Responsible for local Tax compliance (Corporation tax, Custom, and VAT), correct application of transfer pricing tax Group Policy and compliance with Group accounting principles (IFRS) and local ones included the management of the external auditors;
Responsible for the implementation of the internal control systems in compliance with the Group procedures;
Overall responsibility for administrative activities: account receivables - invoicing and credit collection (including support on financial tools locally available), sales contracts, credit management;
Lead and empower a high-performing and collaborative team in planning, organising, and executing financial tasks and Group projects;
Coordinate IT and Legal activities. ABOUT YOU
Master\xe2\x80\x99s degree in Accounting/Finance/Business Management/Economics/Statistics or Diploma with relevant work experience;
8+ years of experience in leadership roles in Finance/Accounting;
Experience with transfer pricing, custom duties, import procedures.
Excellent knowledge of written and spoken English, Italian is a plus.
In depth knowledge of local GAAP and IFRS accounting standards ;
Extensive knowledge of reporting models, controlling principles and P&L management, matched with experience with import, distribution and service businesses (Company size > \xe2\x82\xac50 million);
Advanced knowledge of MS Excel (including the use of pivot tables and lookup formulas).
Excellent problem solving and decision making ability;
Ability to guide, assist and support management in making strategic decisions to outperform competitors;
Proven leadership expertise with effective team building skills and conflict resolution management.
