Employer Background An international financial technology firm in Asia that create innovative products and provide end to end IT solutions to clients across the world Position Title Chief Marketing Officer Salary Range Up to RM30,000 Working Location Kuala Lumpur Summary CMO are responsible for planning, developing, implementing, and monitoring the overall business marketing strategy. Some of the duties may include market research, pricing, product marketing, marketing communications, advertising, and public relations. The CMO is also responsible for managing the marketing budget and ensuring that all marketing activities are within the budget. The CMO is the senior-ranking marketing executive in a firm and therefore makes judgments that influence the company\'s overall marketing efforts. We are searching for an experienced and self-driven Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) to join our marketing team! As a CMO, you will develop and implement fresh marketing strategies and lead our marketing team by example. Responsibilities

• \xe2\x80\x9cListening\xe2\x80\x9d to market trends and directing the company\'s market research efforts.
• Liaising with other departments to guide a unified approach to customer service, distribution, etc., meeting market demands.
• Defining marketing strategies to support the company\xe2\x80\x99s overall strategies and objectives.
• Develop a feasible marketing plan for the department and oversee its day-to-day implementation.
• Plan and organize marketing functions and operations (product development, branding, communications etc.), and ensure they project the company\xe2\x80\x99s unique \xe2\x80\x9cvoice.\xe2\x80\x9d
• Design and coordinate promotional campaigns, PR, and other marketing efforts across channels (digital, press etc.)
• Build a highly efficient team of marketing professionals.
• Create a solid network of strategic partnerships.
• Design and implement comprehensive marketing strategies to create awareness of the company\xe2\x80\x99s business activities.
• Supervise the department and provide guidance and feedback to other marketing professionals.
• Produce ideas for promotional events or activities and organize them efficiently.
• Plan and execute campaigns for corporate promotion, launching of new product lines etc.
• Monitor progress and submit performance reports.
• Responsible for producing valuable content for the company\xe2\x80\x99s online presence, editorial design and organizing the company\xe2\x80\x99s publications.
• Conduct general market research to keep abreast of trends and competitors\xe2\x80\x99 marketing movements.
• Control budgets and allocate resources amongst projects.
• Become the organization\xe2\x80\x99s agent towards external parties such as media, stakeholders and potential clients and build strategic partnerships.

Requirements

• BSc/BA in business administration, marketing, communications, or a relevant field; MSc/MA will be a plus.
• At least 10 years of well-rounded marketing or business development experience in positions of increasing responsibility- with a focus on marketing expansion
• Three to five years of experience in a leadership role
• Proven experience as a chief marketing officer or similar role
• Demonstrable experience in developing efficient strategies and business plans for all marketing aspects (branding, product promotion etc.)
• Solid understanding of market research and data analysis methods
• Ability to apply marketing techniques over digital (e.g., social media) and non-digital (e.g., press) channels.
• Understanding of different business disciplines (IT, finance etc.)
• Proficient in MS Office and business software (e.g., CRM)
• A leader with both creative and analytical capabilities
• Outstanding communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal abilities.
