The Role Responsibilities
Strategy

  • Responsible to make Core Banking (eBBS) as a standard product across all countries through Version Harmonisation Project
  • Responsible that the processes relating to Core Banking are standard across countries.
  • Responsible to ensure that Total Cost of Ownership of the application (TPS Cost) is kept at the same level.
  • Consulted to adopt to latest technology by continuous improvement and right investment.
  • Accountable that the product meets future needs of the business including higher volume.
  • Responsible to ensure APIs are developed as per plan.
  • Responsible to plan for development of Events Framework and Event triggers for all critical events
  • Accountable to ensure that Version Harmonisation project is implemented as per plan and within the budget.
Business
  • Responsible to provide scalable and standard solution.
  • Responsible to provide support from Core Banking perspective to multiple business segments- Retail, Wealth and CCIB
  • Consulted to provide support for technology projects and programs across countries and business segments including digital journeys.
Processes
  • Consulted to ensure that the processes relating to Core Banking are standard across countries.
  • Consulted to facilitate automation and digitisation by providing solutions to avoid manual work.
People and Talent
  • Responsible to ensure that the team stays motivated and continuously learn both technical and soft skills.
  • Responsible to ensure continuity by proactively removing criticality of any single resource and by planning succession.
Risk Management
  • Responsible to ensure that application related risks, be it functional or technology obsolescence are addressed in time.
  • Consulted to ensure that operational risks are mitigated by providing right solution.
Governance
  • Ensure to follow the stipulated processes and adhere to governance principles.
Regulatory and Business Conduct
  • Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group\xe2\x80\x99s Values and Code of Conduct.
  • Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank. This includes understanding and ensuring compliance with, in letter and spirit, all applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and the Group Code of Conduct.
  • Lead the Core Banking Technology Team of Business Analysts, Product Owners, Solution Architects, Testers and Trainers to achieve the outcomes set out in the Bank\xe2\x80\x99s Conduct Principles: Treat colleagues fairly and with respect, comply with laws, regulations and group standards, manage conflict of Interest, use good judgement and respect our communities and environment.
  • Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters.

Other Responsibilities
  • Ensure that the solution provided for Core Banking (both eBBS and Hogan) are compatible including common API, wherever possible.
  • Enhance usage of capabilities (value unlock) within Core Banking by continuously engaging with countries.
  • Communication about Core Banking across technology and business
