Job Description

We are looking to hire a Childcare Assistant position in the Childcare Centre, University of Nottingham Malaysia.

Job Responsibilities:

1) Contribute to the development and delivery of a planned program of activities that are appropriate for the age range of children, collaborating with other staff members.
2) Maintain accurate records for key children, ensuring information is accessible to parents and carers.
3) Work closely with parents/carers of children with special needs, ensuring full inclusion and integration within the group.
4) Support fellow staff members and actively contribute to a positive and cohesive team dynamic.
5) Commit to safeguarding children by adhering to the organisation's Code of Conduct for safeguarding.
6) Demonstrate flexibility in work practices, assisting where necessary, including performing domestic tasks, meal preparation, and cleaning of equipment.
7) Collaborate with supervisors and colleagues to ensure the project's core philosophy is implemented effectively.
8) Ensure a high-quality environment that caters to the individual needs of children from diverse cultural, religious, and developmental backgrounds.
9) Actively promote and uphold the safeguarding of children and young people in the workplace, ensuring compliance with all relevant policies and procedures.
10) Carry out any additional tasks or duties assigned by your immediate supervisor or the Head of Department at UNM.

Job Requirements:

1) Minimum SPM

2) KAAK (Kursus Asuhan Kanak-kanak) or Permata

3) At least one year experience working in a childcare centre or in any related field

4) Have a good verbal communication, responsive relationships with children

Job Type: Temporary
Contract length: 12 months

Pay: RM1,800.00 - RM2,000.00 per month
