Summary of Role
This position is responsible for factory software solution delivery, operational and technical support services of CIM (Computer Integrated Manufacturing) Department to meet 24/7 production operations of Solar Cell Fab facility in Malaysia. This job entails planning, design, setup, start-up, testing, support, maintain, monitor, improve lifecycle pertaining to the scope of CIM Solutions Landscape, primarily consists of Manufacturing Execution System (MES) solution, MES satelite applications and other functional related applications used to support factory operations. The role would be part of our technical talents in helping the business organization growth to achieve the goal of Sustainable Green Future, through innovations of making our manufacturing operations run smarter and more efficiently.

Job Responsibilities & Essential Duties
- Be Technical Liaison between CIM Dept and MES Solution Partners, in ensuring their SLA fulfillment, quality of deliverables and PASS ( Performance | Availability | Sustainability | Scalability ) of deployed solution able to meet CIM and Ops Customer satisfaction level.

- Overall to ensure the proper running of MES and other CIM factory solutions serving our 24/7 business operations.

- To work collaboratively with Business Counterparts from Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, Logistics, Finance, and/or other departments, in respect to day-to-day issues and factory executions.

- To work with Department Team Members in achieving department missions of maximizing CIM solutions value, optimizing system availability & uptime, and minimizing incidents or unscheduled downtime.

- To observe, investigate, analyze, diagnose, resolve on MES functional, operational and technical issues, which may be related to application, infrastructure or other factors.

- Handle Incident Management, including timely incident remedy/recovery/resolution, appropriate updates to stakeholders / Ops Management, post-mortem review, corrective actions and effectiveness check.

- To align, brainstorm, devise and implement CIM solutions which address business challenge or operational issue: eg improvement in MES function, feature enhancement, shopfloor execution control, mistake & error proofing, traceability, running mode & process modeling, user experience.

- Facilitate and participate in customer-vendor discussion & brainstorming session, in order to bridge any gap between customer expectations and vendor understanding.

- Participate in Ops project implementations to strive for Operations Excellence (Output/UPH/OEE/Yield improvements).

- Be essential member in Start-up Team when comes to Expansion projects or New MES solution implementations.

- Responsible of project documentations in MES related implementation, including SoW (Scope of Work), workplan timeline, executive update, issue report, test case, training material, as per required.

- To coordinate and to ensure functional testing, integration testing and UAT activities be appropriately & timely carried out on CIM solutions during each application change cycle.

- To prepare training materials, plan and conduct functional or technical training for CIM related solutions when as needed.

- To plan, coordinate and manage on CIM solution release and deployment, with compliance to IT Change Management governance.

- To work with IT Infra counterparts to ensure CIM system performance and health, as well as the underlying hosting servers and databases, are optimized to meet 24/7 operational and sustainable conditions.

- Work with Global Helpdesk and/or NOC (Network Operations Center) Team on ad-hoc escalation, preventive maintenance, pre-emptive alert, with knowledge onboarding via SOP documentation and handover briefing.

- Report to CIM Department Manager and be accountable for on-time fulfillment of Personal/Team/Corp OKRs.

- Perform ad-hoc duties and other related tasks assigned by Department Manager as and when needed.

Job Required Knowledge / Skills:

- Uphold strong service-oriented support culture and customer-focus, result-driven mindset.

- Self-driven and able to work independently with minimum supervision.

- Preferrable with concrete understanding of MES concepts, common functionality and business expectations on MES and its related applications.

- Understand how factory manufacturing environment operates and some essential concepts in shopfloor execution: eg WIP movement, Yield, OEE, SPC, inventory handling, defect/scrap handling, product packaging, FG handling, shipping.

- Familiar with product labeling solution with barcode label printing, is an added advantage.

- Experience with MES and ERP data interface and handling, is a plus point.

- Ability to work with various parties from system software vendors, to internal Operations and Supporting Functions, in order to ensure effective solution implementations and well sustainability of the implemented solutions.

- Hands-on troubleshooting experience in computer desktop, networking & peripheral device related problem.

- Ability to extract, interpret, analyze application logs or debug logs, for the purpose of problem troubleshooting or insights discovery.

- Well aware of Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) process.

- Solid understanding of relational database concepts.

- Strong practical experience of Oracle SQL, and able to write in ANSI-standard syntax.

- Good Knowledge of Oracle PL/SQL programming, is a plus point.

- Proficient use of Microsoft Office suite ( Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook ).

Education / Minimum Qualifications

- Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology or equivalent field.

- Minimum 2 years of relevant job experience in supporting application software solutions or IT systems used in manufacturing or factory environment.

- For senior position, at least 4 years of working experience in high technology manufacturing environment, or equivalent industries/subsectors.
