About the Role

This role is designed for great talents that are passionate about Claims analytics, BI visualization and Reporting management. The job holder is responsible to perform medical claim analytics including conceptualization to operationalization of insights and solutions, facilitate management in driving claim insights and strategy.
The job holder is also responsible to produce reports and dashboards for performance monitoring to support key measurement and SLA reporting for internal and external stakeholder through automation, development and implementation of BI tools.
To succeed in this role, this person should have a solid understanding of Insurance, Claims & Healthcare knowledge, data, systems and brings together to identify and communicate data-driven insights that allow stakeholders and management to make more informed decisions.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Healthcare Analytics & Insights

  • Performing research and analysis for medical cost inflation by focusing to healthcare KPI metrics such as of loss ratio, claim severity , claim incidence & claim frequency
  • Collaborate with business users to understand the requirement, design and develop statistical analysis and algorithms to support business scenarios
  • Work on ad-hoc analysis, identify discrepancies and patterns, translate technical information and findings into easy to understand terms for the business
Business Intelligence & Reporting
  • Create executive dashboards, scorecards and reports for tracking on Management KPIs with business insights and actionable items for senior management team
  • Transform data sets and reports into highly intuitive multi-dimensional self-service dashboard to present large amount of information for consumption
  • Continually streamline and development of self-service BI/Reporting Platforms through simplification, consolidation and automation
  • Determines data requirements, collect data from various sources and transform data into information that can be utilized for business decisions and operational strategy
Other Duties

Participate in meetings or project and collaborate with IT and business users on data related request

Perform other responsibilities and duties periodically as assigned by supervisor in order to meet operational and/or other requirement/Project

Minimum Job Requirements:

Education

Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s (or above) degree in quantitative fields required, such as Actuarial Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Biostatistics, Statistics or related fields

Experience
  • A minimum of 3+ years of relevant programming or analytic experience.
  • Proven working experience as analyst with strong analytical skills and the ability to collect, organise, analyse and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy, preferably in Operations, Claims, Actuarial, Analytics, Data Science is highly desirable
  • Strong SQL programming skills are required and technical knowledge regarding data models, data mining and segmentation techniques will be an advantage
  • Experienced in latest BI tools like Tableau and Power BI, strong data visualization and storytelling skills with outstanding presentation/written communication skills, switch between technical and layman speak
  • Adaptive to change and flexible in an evolving, fast-paced, and high-pressure working environment
