The role:

We are looking for an experienced Claims and Insurance Coordinator to join our Centre of Excellence (CoE), in Penang, Malaysia.

As a, claims and Insurance Coordinator, you will:

  • Claims management: Drive profitability outcomes for the GL business in claims management by mitigating risk of claims and determining the strategies, responsible to plan own workload and work within a high functioning team to coordinate with internal/external parties to ensure the effective processing of GL claims and insurance administration on daily basis, oversee claims administration to register and report all claims for Liaising with legal counsel and insurers to strategize and suggest claim response options.
  • Insurance administration: Assisting Toll Group Insurance in the implementation of their strategies and initiatives, as required e.g., collection and review of annual renewal data for insurance programs and collection of underwriting information for local Asia based insurances.
  • Support to Senior Insurance Manager: Provide administrative support to the Senior Insurance Manager Asia regarding insurance queries for Asia Divisions.
  • Legal agreements: Ensure all local policies for are reviewed and processed for renewal prior to expiry. Lodging and administering insurer agreements for legal review and approval. Administration of contracts through to execution, identifying the authorized signatory/director(s) to sign per jurisdiction in line with the DOA signing authorities.
Process Improvement and Efficiency: Assist/ guide business in carrying out the process flow in an efficient and effective manner. Initiate own efforts to quickly overcome problems to meet urgent requirements, deadlines, and special requests. These may involve business unit stakeholders, other group functions and escalations with GL and Toll senior management structure. * Ensure that all work is done efficiently and to the highest possible standard.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:
  • Candidate must possess at least a Diploma, Advanced/Higher/Graduate in preferred fields of education include Law, Business Administration, Insurance, Logistics, and Supply Chain.
  • Must have at least 1-2 years\' experience in related field is required for this position.
  • The candidate should be proactive in addressing problems, meeting urgent requirements, adhering to deadlines, and handling special requests by engaging with relevant stakeholders and escalating issues to senior management when necessary. Additionally, strong computer skills and attention to detail are essential attributes for this role.
  • This job requires the ability to multitask efficiently, managing multiple tasks and responsibilities simultaneously while maintaining a high level of performance and meeting deadlines.
  • Candidate must have the capability to communicate independently with insurance parties, handling all interactions confidently and effectively.
  • The ideal candidate should possess a strong and adaptable personality, demonstrating qualities such as good communication skills, teamwork, problem-solving abilities, self-motivation, and a positive attitude.
