RESPONSIBILITIES: To always adhere to the Quality Assurance standards, ABC to Housekeeping & Hygiene Standards To plan, communicate, delegate, coach, follow up & follow through, on all assigned duties to ensure effectiveness in the implementation of the assigned duty To anticipate the needs of the guest and team and be responsive in a genuine manner to the needs of the guest & team To conduct occupancy checks and report any discrepancies that arise Competent to use the computer to source information under Oasis: To view the occupancy forecast for the week and group arrival, group functions in restaurants To obtain the house status, to obtain vacant dirty status and updating of room status To block out of service / order rooms To print all the relevant reports To report any maintenance issues in the guestroom and at the public areas and to follow up that the job is completed To deploy associates effectively for the am, pm, overnight shift and able to handle the coordination of rooms when the system is down To record attendance, mc, annual leave, Public holidays and overtime on a daily basis To inspect the cleanliness of the rooms, corridor, pantries, public areas as per the Quality Brand Assurance standards: To adhere and educate associates on the Brand Assurance encounters, Safety & Security measures, Hygiene & Sanitation requirements, product knowledge & initiatives To inspect checkouts before reporting them as ready for sale To inspect all early morning vacant room and follow through with out of order rooms & to return these rooms back to inventory Inspects and to follow up on outstanding work order, cleaning projects and to release the rooms as fast as possible To inspect 50 rooms daily and ensure that key performance standards are being and rooms are in good order To inspect all VIP, and in stay rooms, due out from the earlier shift To inspect the public areas, and ensure that the pantries are stocked and secured prior to the end of shift To inspect all Front & back of the House areas are clean & well maintained To supervise special /project cleaning of rooms or public areas To block rooms or function areas as out of order or out of service To work as a team player with other leaders and associates To perform any tasks assigned by management Cost conscious leader To train and coach new and senior associates on service standards and whenever performance is not satisfactory To handle and store any lost and found articles handed in to housekeeping in accordance to the set policies and procedures PUBLIC AREAS: Ability to Plan & review Project cleaning Tasks CLEANLINESS: Monitoring of Daily cleaning standards Ensuring that Project cleaning projects are following set time lines To ensure that the HACCP records are updated on a daily basis & Quality & Hygiene standards are being monitored
