The Clinical Assistant will assume the following roles and responsibilities: 1. Greets patient in friendly and polite manner. 2. Ensures patient\xe2\x80\x99s Medical Record and relevant document is available prior to commencement of clinic. 3. Assists consultants in procedures \xe2\x80\x93 invasive and non invasive and maintains privacy at all times. 4. Directs patient to respective diagnostic department for investigation and treatment (e.g. to clinic, X-ray department, treatment room, physiotherapy etc.) 5. Ensures follow-up appointments are issued, explained and keyed in HIS accordingly. 6. Facilitates patient on admission to ward. 7. Answers telephone calls and directs calls to consultant when necessary. 8. Maintains clinic and procedure room cleanliness and tidiness upon utilizing. 9. Ensures items used (e.g. consumables, procedures) are charged accordingly. 10. Ensures adequate supplies (e.g. consumables, equipment etc.) prior to commencement of clinic. 11. Maintains patient confidentiality at all times. 12. Maintains systematic filling and ensures safe dispatch of Patient Records to Medical Record Department. 13. All Clinical Assistants in the clinic shall be made aware and shall follow the formal relationships, lines of communication and authority as depicted on the organizational chart. 14. For specialised Nursing areas, specific Job Duties & Responsibilities are detailed in the preceptorship book, and the employee\xe2\x80\x99s initial on the job training (OJT). 15. At all times, to maintain strict confidentiality of any information you may become aware of during the course of your duties. 16. Enhance professional growth and development through reading of relevant literature, as well as attendance to relevant training programmes (internal & external). __________________________________________________________________________ \xe2\x80\xa2 Memberi salam kepada pesakit dengan ramah dan sopan. \xe2\x80\xa2 Memastikan Rekod Perubatan pesakit dan dokumen berkaitan tersedia sebelum memulakan klinik. \xe2\x80\xa2 Membantu perunding dalam prosedur \xe2\x80\x93 invasif dan bukan invasif serta mengekalkan privasi pada setiap masa. \xe2\x80\xa2 Mengarahkan pesakit ke jabatan diagnostik masing-masing untuk penyiasatan dan rawatan (cth. ke klinik, jabatan X-ray, bilik rawatan, fisioterapi dsb.) \xe2\x80\xa2 Memastikan pelantikan susulan dikeluarkan, dijelaskan dan dimasukkan ke dalam HIS sewajarnya. \xe2\x80\xa2 Memudahkan pesakit masuk ke wad. \xe2\x80\xa2 Menjawab panggilan telefon dan mengarahkan panggilan kepada perunding apabila perlu. \xe2\x80\xa2 Menjaga kebersihan dan kekemasan klinik dan bilik prosedur semasa digunakan. \xe2\x80\xa2 Memastikan item yang digunakan (cth. bahan habis pakai, prosedur) dicaj sewajarnya. \xe2\x80\xa2 Memastikan bekalan yang mencukupi (cth. bahan habis pakai, peralatan dll.) sebelum memulakan klinik. \xe2\x80\xa2 Menjaga kerahsiaan pesakit pada setiap masa. \xe2\x80\xa2 Mengekalkan pengisian yang sistematik dan memastikan penghantaran Rekod Pesakit dengan selamat ke Jabatan Rekod Perubatan. \xe2\x80\xa2 Semua Pembantu Klinikal di klinik hendaklah dimaklumkan dan hendaklah mengikut perhubungan formal, talian komunikasi dan kuasa seperti yang digambarkan pada carta organisasi. \xe2\x80\xa2 Untuk bidang Kejururawatan khusus, Tugas & Tanggungjawab Kerja khusus diperincikan dalam buku preceptorship, dan permulaan latihan kerja (OJT) pekerja. \xe2\x80\xa2 Pada setiap masa, untuk mengekalkan kerahsiaan ketat sebarang maklumat yang mungkin anda ketahui semasa menjalankan tugas anda. \xe2\x80\xa2 Meningkatkan pertumbuhan dan pembangunan profesional melalui pembacaan literatur yang berkaitan, serta kehadiran ke program latihan yang berkaitan (dalaman & luaran). \xe2\x80\xa2 Melaksanakan tugas/tugas lain yang diarahkan.
