About the department
The Clinical, Medical, and Regulatory (CMR) department is one of the key functions that enable the business strategy through the effective execution of functional goals, in the areas of Clinical Research, Medical Affairs and Regulatory. This full-time permanent position is based in Kuala Lumpur and reports directly to the CMR Director.

The position
You will drive clinical operations in the CDC and ensure a sustainable organization that is ready to capture future portfolio needs.
Other role accountabilities are as follows, but are not limited to:

  • CDC Organization Development - development and execution of short- and long-term CDC organizational development plans to maximize the clinical operations opportunities/possibilities in CDC and corresponding to the Global Clinical strategy. Also, building and maintenance of effective CDC operational structure addressing current and future needs in accordance with local & global portfolio requirements.
  • CDC Clinical Operations Management - plans and delivers on assigned trial portfolio across CDC ensuring key trial milestones are met across projects while ensuring high levels of quality and efficient utilisation of resources. Maintains high levels of readiness across therapy areas by ensuring adequately qualified and trained staff to deliver on different projects while collaborating cross-functionally with all other teams.
  • Setting up and monitoring the annual goals/Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for CDC. Performing annual organization reviews in CDC and Adjacent Affiliates to gather information about the needs and issues concerning everyday clinical operations, develop solutions in close cooperation with CDC management teams and support the implementation of the solutions
  • Leading Trial Portfolio Review across CDC while ensuring close collaboration with the CMR head and other relevant management functions to ensure affiliate strategic needs are addressed. Also, driving the implementation of global clinical operations initiatives across the CDC.
  • Cross-functional cooperation with relevant functions across Novo Nordisk (NN) as well as representation of Novo Nordisk externally, i.e., Investigators Meetings, congresses, health authorities etc.
Qualifications
  • Ph.D. or Master\xe2\x80\x99s in Life Sciences or Pharmacy is required.
  • 7-10 years of relevant experience in clinical operations/clinical trials execution in the pharmaceutical industry or Clinical Research Organization.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of working experience in a strategic role in clinical operations/clinical development and international environment with direct people management.
  • Strong track record in clinical trial execution in multifunctional teams at country level, including clinical quality (audits and inspections) and training.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills are required. Fluency in oral and written English is essential.
