Job Description

You will be a part of recovery and backup operations team to support the operation and management. You will be responsible for ensuring that we are adhering the policies and schedule while assisting with management of available capacity to ensure no delays are realised due to lack of resources. This will include compute, storage, and network bandwidth requirements.

• Understand Azure technologies (WebApp,AzureAPI,frontdoor, Managed Instance, Compute, network, storage and data combination:

• IAAS and PAAS; VM creations, networks (vnet, traffic manager, load balancer, application gateway)
• App services configuration
• Function app/ storage account/ cdn/ logic apps/ azure key vault/dns
• Understand database technologies (SQL/Cosmos/Mongo/PostGreSQL)
• Perform technical deep dives into application design and perform root cause analysis
• Design and configure high availability for web applications
• Passion for making things better and driving action with a sense of urgency
• Provide new thinking to challenge existing technology implementations and processes
• Buid relationships across teams

• Understand reliability and configuration management principles

• Experience with the cloud platform (Azure) and its different services
• Experience with PowerShell scripting
• Experience in designing for failure, including disaster recovery and business continuity planning
• Experience with CI and CD - Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery using various deployment tools
• Good understanding of application management and operational support on Microsoft platforms, with a specific focus on the line of business applications utilizing the Java and dotnet platform
• Knowledge of database technologies, particularly MS SQL
• Experience with instrumentation, monitoring, alerting, and responding relative to performance and availability of applications
• Understanding of the concepts and experience with principles behind DevOps, SRE, CICD, Agile, Lean, etc.
• Capable of technical deep dives into infrastructure, databases, and application, specifically in designing, coding, operating, and supporting high-performance, highly available services and infrastructure
• Experience operating and supporting mission-critical applications (e.g. incident and outage management)
