The Cloud Systems Engineer will be responsible for managing, monitoring, and optimizing cloud-based
systems while providing L2/L3 technical support for enterprise cloud services. The ideal candidate will
have hands-on experience in cloud infrastructure, scripting, and troubleshooting, ensuring high availability
and performance for customers.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Cloud Infrastructure & Support:
Provide back-end cloud support for customer-facing teams, ensuring SLA compliance
Monitor cloud services (AWS/Azure) for performance, security, and cost optimization
Troubleshoot and resolve escalated cloud infrastructure issues (VM, networking, storage, DB)
Analyze and troubleshoot customer file issues (XML, JSON formats) when required for investigations
Maintain internal knowledge base (Confluence, KB articles) for incident resolution
Automation & Optimization:
Develop and maintain automation scripts (PowerShell, Python, Bash) for cloud operations
Knowledge in CI/CD pipeline improvements (Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform - This is a plus)
Identify and implement cost-saving measures in cloud resource usage
Collaboration & Compliance:
Work with DevOps, Security, and IT teams to ensure Cloud best practices
Document processes and ensure compliance with IT security policies (ISO 27001, SOC 2)
Participate in on-call rotation with on-call allowances
Required Experience
Must-Have:
1-3 years of experience in cloud support, systems engineering, or DevOps
Hands-on with AWS/Azure (Certification is a big plus)
Proficient in scripting (PowerShell/Python/Bash) for automation
Ability to analyze and understand customer file formats (XML, JSON) for troubleshooting purposes
Basic knowledge of Linux/Windows servers, networking (TCP/IP, VPN, Firewalls)
Experience with SQL/NoSQL databases (Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB)
Strong analytical& problem-solving skills
Nice-to-Have:
Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
Understanding of CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions)
