Cluster Learning & Development Manager

Job Description




As the Cluster Learning & Development Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the learning and development initiatives across three properties: Pullman Kuching, Pullman Miri Waterfront, and ibis Melaka. Your primary focus will be on designing, implementing, and evaluating training programs to enhance the skills and capabilities of our employees, ensuring alignment with the company\'s goals and objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

Training Program Development:

  • Design comprehensive training programs tailored to the specific needs of each property and department.
  • Collaborate with department heads and HR to identify training needs and prioritize areas for development.
  • Develop training materials, manuals, and resources to support various learning initiatives.
Training Delivery and Facilitation:
  • Conduct engaging and interactive training sessions for employees at all levels.
  • Utilize a variety of training methodologies to accommodate different learning styles and preferences.
  • Monitor training delivery to ensure consistency and effectiveness across all properties.
Performance Management:
  • Implement performance evaluation mechanisms to assess the impact of training programs on employee performance and business outcomes.
  • Provide feedback and coaching to trainers and trainees to support continuous improvement.
  • Analyze training effectiveness data and make recommendations for adjustments and improvements as needed.
Leadership Development:
  • Identify high-potential employees and develop tailored development plans to nurture their leadership capabilities.
  • Facilitate leadership development workshops and programs to groom future leaders within the organization.
Compliance and Quality Assurance:
  • Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, regulations, and company policies in all training activities.
  • Maintain accurate records of training attendance, completion, and certification for audit and reporting purposes.
Stakeholder Engagement:
  • Build strong relationships with property management teams, department heads, and employees to understand their learning needs and gain support for training initiatives.
  • Collaborate with regional and corporate learning and development teams to leverage resources and best practices.
Work Experience
  • Bachelor\'s degree in Human Resources, Education, Hospitality Management, or related field.
  • Proven experience in learning and development, preferably in the hospitality industry.
  • Strong understanding of learning principles and instructional design methodologies.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment and across multiple locations.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Certification in training facilitation or instructional design is a plus.
